ST, I'm in. Just sent you an email.
That weekend is my "daddy"-weekend. So my daughter is around and I am not able to join. Have fun.
Just would like to mention that I am from Holland too.
Driving together with my wife on two BMW R1200GS and traveling round the world as mutch as possible.
On the motorbike we did traveling in the USA, Azia and offcourse a lott of hollidays in Europe.
From each trip we try to make a short movie and publice the movies on www.LifeIsJoy.nl
Better lived a minute, than slept a lifetime!
You should be able to ship your bike with Autoliners from the eastcoast, think the rate's still around $600,00 US, its ro/ro and sail out of Baltimore and Pensacola, if somebody's charging you $2000,00 they'r pulling your leg.
Sorry, meant Jacksonville....
guilty as charged.
Hi , I'll be in Eindhoven for training and am planning on going to Paris to watch the finish of the TDF . Anybody want to go with ?
Yes............Hope to meet you this time !!!
I don't have a lot of time upcoming weeks because of a combination of work and preparation for my Scandinavia trip later in July.
Well, the image is not from Holland though..
Danish (in exile), in Rotterdam with my R1200GSA...
Anyone know of some good off-road tracks - tarmac is a bit boring....
In Holland? Have you been outside yet?
Try maasvlakte, even though that won't be much fun on a GS
You mean leaving the comforts of ones home, yes that happens ones in a while.
I'll have a look there, I was just more hoping that there where some off-road tracks around.....
at 07 of November we make the "First German ADV Stammtisch" in Cologne. If someone is interessted we would be happy if you visit our "Stammtisch" (Stammtisch = meeting for people who want to chat together).

You mean the dusty stuff?

Yeah there are a few dry sandy bits around arn't there
Here's a couple of pics me and mates riding in the Dutch BMW Easter meet offroad ride south of Tilburg...
MIGSEL on his beastie R80
nice bit of Compression...
A couple in Limburg..
MIGSEL riding through(maybe the only) ford in Holland
It was a lot steeper than it looks....honest!
A wrong turn that turned out to be brillant...turning around on this single track was "interesting"!
And a couple of random photos in the Ardennes. Just go for look up any forest roads... lots fun exploring!
After riding this track i arrived in Bouillon, in the southern Ardenne, very popular wih bikers ..my bike was caked in 2 inches of mud..unlike all the polished on sunday bikes that were there... there were a few chuckles and pointing and murmuring... Lots of fun!
As a local boy couldn't resist to sign in and maybe play a more active role in "promotoring" this great city. The sex/drugs image is somewhat overrated, the town is pretty harmless but never boring (except maybe for the weather!)
Come and see for yourself...if you do, drop me a line....
PS: haven't quite figured out how to upload pics but when I succeed I will share some.....
Well, a bit late maybe ...
But HI THERE anyway!!!
I live in the north west, right above the city Alkmaar.
If you're planning of coming this way, think again .
Serious, it's great here ... but there's beter places for driving a GS.
Although I do tend to amuse myself here:
See ya ?
