gknq has a crook back, so I volunteered charlie for the evevning and morning rubbing duties . I bet there will be a line up at charlie's tent for that one:evil.

If this cyclone ends up in the gulf and makes a run down the guts of qld. We might get land locked in Birdsville.

I reckon obj will make a fortune this year with his 24 hour towing and pickup service :huh.

Charlie and i are back in Bark'y, the northern boy's are around Hughenden some where. Everyone had a good run no dramas, it was a big turn out in Birdsville for Bill's send off. Nice to meet up with a lot of blokes on here and put faces to screen names. We had an interesting night last night at Diamantina Lakes, with Dingoes howling and a rather suspicious looking Min Min light appearing at the same time. WTF! :huh A man should lay off the Rum and stick with bushels.

    How was the Diamantina lakes?

I have been wondering about the roads through there, if they they are pretty sandy or just the typical rocky clay roads from out that way.

    And dunes....

    Any dune crossings?

Barra, Dale and myself back in Townsville about lunch time. A bit of misty rain overnight but avoided the rain today, looked a bit wet to the south of us yesterday arvo. Kenno last seen heading up to the Lynd on the dirt, he should be in Cairns this arvo. Thanks again everyone for a great trip.

Had rain from the Lynd junction to Cairns, nearly got blown off the road at windy hill when a gust made my front tyre lose traction twice, lucky i was already down to 60kph, stayed cozy and dry until someone lost control and blocked the Kuranda range and i got soaked through waiting for an hour to get moving again.
Would do it all again tomorrow, a great ride:freaky
