To kick off the year the Lowcountry will host another camping trip. Ride in on Friday night, ride route on Sat., ride out on Sunday morning/afternoon. This time we will invade two other states as well.

This makes the third annual spring camping trip for us. Jose, a former low country inmate got permission from the boss for us to camp on his 2+ acres with fire pit.

Location will be in Charlotte. May 17-19.

Saturday ride to Hampton Tennessee to Rick's Rendezvous. (Around 156 miles one way, we will be taking the more scenic route about 200 miles one way)

Objections or better ideas are welcomed as always.

I vote for Edisto, but the wife needs to check her work calendar to figure out which weekend is best. I'll vote in the poll next week.

I am afraid to vote. Pretty sure I can make any of them... just never know what work will throw at me. So.... I will vote after you all pick place and date. Then I'll vote for that one. :lol3

I'm interested and quite local. What kind of rides are we talking about. Access to dirt is pretty limited round here. I do have a few areas. Ktm 950 or Dr 650?

    Just came across this thread.

We most likely aren't doing any dirt just to keep everyone happy (i.e. scootergdawg). We also won't be riding at night (scootergdawg). Route will be 200 miles give or take with a lunch in the middle on Saturday.

Route will be posted soon, subject to changes, up for suggestions/requests.

As usual, if not camping there will be a meeting place to join for the Saturday ride.

The dirt doesn't bother me. I just want the ride to be friendly to all. We will see what comes about.

I thought that the voting was going to lock people out after 30 days as I thought I selected it to. However, clearly that is not the case as a vote had been cast after I posted the winning day....vote all you guys want to, see you on April 15th at Hunting Island:lol3
