    I started out in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Boise</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">ID</st1:State></st1:place> about 3 months ago. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
Bought a DRZ 400S and pimped it up with a bigger tank, panniers and other nice stuff.
    <o:p></o:p>
Have been rambling around without a plan, and are still going that way. Seen some awesome scenery and met cool people, so it seems to work
    It&#8217;s been a blast so far:clap
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
I&#8217;m in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Salida</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">CO</st1:State></st1:place> now. Actually in The ADV Cottage at Hayduke and Bonnie Abbzug. Now I learned to post pictures, so they told me to get a RR started. And here it is. Not to many words but a lot of pics.

My route so far has been like this.

Don&#8217;t really know what the next step will be. But I bet it´ll be fun.

Went on my first real dirt road in Nevada....To much snow in Idaho

Monument Valley. Beautiful...and a nice little ride.

    My DRZ...aka...The Smurf
    [IMG]

    And of course....The Grand Canyon

Cool road out off Globe, AZ
    [IMG]

    Kinda bored in Texas
    [IMG]

    Love the roads in Colorado
    [IMG]

A couple of rides with a fellow ADV-rider in the beautiful scenery around Salida

Anja! That's awesome. I spent about four weeks around København (on a business trip) a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Great to see pictures of your adventure and if you make it around the SF Bay Area you have a bed here!

At first I thought you had a typo in the thread title; I thought you meant "Another Dame touring The States." But, I got to the end of your post an then saw your location, and then it clicked.

Keep us posted, and if you can, go back and give us some more details. What happened to your bike, and how did you fix it? Do you have more pictures?

Safe journey for the rest of your trip!

How long do you plan to be riding around the US, and do you have a rought idea of where you'll be over that time period? I'm still hoping to make the ride out to Yachats, OR (from Boston, MA) for Raindog's party, riding east to west across the northern US (tentatively), in early/mid-July, wouldn't mind meeting up somewhere along the way. In fact, Raindog's party might not be bad destination for you to hit, meet lots of ADVriders, supposed to be beautiful territory up there in the Northwest.

That english lingo is a hard one for us out off continent people.

Nothing has really happend to the bike. It runs very well :clap
Had a little trouble with the plastic-roller above the chain. That is because it’s lowered….I’m not to tall….and I carry all that crap. The chain vibrated so much that it tore of the roller.
    I tighten up the spring and stay below <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:metricconverter w:st="on" ProductID="65 mph">65 mph. Then the Smurf is happy.</st1:metricconverter>

I´m here for 6 months...then your authorities throw me out off here :cry

Then i head down to Baja. Have a friend that lives in Cabo...to do a little beach-vacation :jkam

    After that...i don´t know?????????????
Maybe i run out of money and have to go home, maybe i´ll get tired of travelling, maybe i´ll visit some more countries further south.
As you can see i´m not a big planner

Thanks for the tip about Raindogs party. Didn´t know that.

I´m having big trouble deciding what to do now. Will visit friends in Boise, but like to go to Chick Fest and West Fest here in CO to.
    AAAHHHHGGGHHH...must plan a little :huh

Maybe we can hook up, if in same area

Sounds like a great adventure seeing/riding in this beautiful country we call home. I also was in Copenhagen couple years ago on a photo shoot, really enjoyed your country. Sorry you missed riding the great roads that Texas has to offer, maybe swing through when temperature cools down(Oct.). For the sore butt solution, order a Alaska Butt Pad from Alaska Leather in Anchorage, Alaska. Barb is on the Alaska forum alot, she can help you out.
