I was asked some questions about my bike so I thought I'd start a new thread.
I started with a 2008 with 1200 miles on it. I always liked the old British singles from the 50's and 60's . The tear down and first mods. were like a Ryca build, 18" wheel, modified swing-arm,etc. Then I added a loop to the back of the frame.

Under seat area. You can see the Progressive shocks that are 1" longer than stock.
Home made kick stand bracket with the stock kick stand. Stock shift linkage rotated around to a home made Ryca style mount.
Stock brake pedal moved back. Sportster foot pegs. Emgo muffler that I have changed to a Harley Dyna. The Emgo was too loud for me.
Sportster bars extended 2" on each side. Royal Enfield seat. Lucas style tail light. Home made rack. I pounded the fenders out of 18 guage steel.
Home made front fender. Rubber fork covers. The forks are the stock length.
Home made exhaust. I was going to go with a high pipe on the other side but decided on the Gold Star look. The pipe is 1 1/2"

    Left side is simple looking.

Relation between seat, bars, and pegs. I'm 6' 195lbs. My seat is higher than stock so I'm not cramped.

Other side. I'm real happy with the way it turned out. I did get to ride it a little before the snow came.

Nice looking little scrambler styled bike....an up pipe would really kick off that look, maybe not practicle, but would look tight.

    Good job.

    Beautiful
    build!

I like it just the way you have it and wouldn't change a thing.

So much nicer than the current ugly "custom" builds where they strip the bike (good) and then put a piece of plywood with half an inch of foam with a cover for a seat (BAD!).

Congratulations on a very successful custom and unique bike! :clap

How about a picture of it with the HD muffler on it?

Thanks guys. The Harley muffler is just a stock Dyna. I think it looks better, nice taper to it. It has a nice sound, not too loud but lets you hear the single thump. Carl

Looks incredible! I've been looking for ways to eliminate the drop seat/frame on my KZ, and I can't believe it's taken me so long, but I believe I've found it.
