As you might remember, Ladybug gave me a old 76 honda 400 a few years back. After a little work and a new paint job, it looks like this. Last summer, a customer of mine asked if I knew of anyone looking for an old dirt bike. Umm, whatcha got? Its a 1974 Hodaka 100 Dirt Squirt. His wife bought it new in 74, put the plastic tank on it, and rode it one time. It then sat in their garage for 36 years. :huh Well, I offered him $300 for it and he accepted. I took it down to the shop, cleaned the tank and carb out, put a new plug in it and changed the oil and it started right up. The tires still have the little knubs on them. So, last fall, an older guy that lives down the road from me asked if I knew anyone looking for an older three wheeler. Umm, whatcha....... well, you see where i'm headed with this. Its a 1982 Kawasaki KLT 200. He bought it new and had a hour meter install when he got it. He rode it around his farm for a couple years and then parked it. It has a total of 19 hour on it. It then sat in his shop for the next 26 years. I gave $200 for this one. It had no spark, but after doing an ohms test, it was traced down to a bad pulsing coil. Got one for $20 used on ebay. Put in a new battery and spark plug, hit the starter and it fired right up. Oh, you should see all of my RC stuff.
