I'm near C'ville and just wondering if there's any Adv Riders in central VA,
I spent my youth riding the fire roads and pig paths of Madison County. I even rode the Hoover's Camp Road. (yeah, the one with big yellow poles at either end)
What's that, no officer, I thought the poles were to keep out four wheel traffic!

I'll bite, not Central but Northern however I frequent the Hoover Camp road area (Rapidan) a lot, and many other places in central VA. Although, I don't ride past the poles :)

Umm, yep. There are a few of us. Actually, there are more than a few of us.

Keep your eyes open, occasionally there is a get together dinner or ride.

I'm in C'ville and get together with a bunch of inmates from near here 2-3 times per year. If you make enough noise, you might be able to roust a few of them up for a ride.

My bike's sick, electrical problemo. It will be well soon though, and I'll have to go for a long ride . . .:eek1

    Cheers!

I could have used a riding partner on Sat. My Husky lost spark 15 miles from the cabin, south of Mt. Pleasant. Some good ole boy campers saved me from a long walk home.

Its dual sport heaven in Nelson County. There are multiple loops from Montebello. I'm up there pretty often, so let me know when you're free.

I'll probably go up next weekend if the weather's good. If I get the Husky running or there's always the reliable DRZ.

west side of C-ville here--Crozet. Been commuting a lot more on my klr since gas is so high.

I've been thinking about a tech day soon as I need to do valves and doohickey (still).

    Gary,

Got a bunch guys that would love to come out that way. Richmond is NOT dually heaven. Could send me a bunch of routes and any info on a good base of operations out your way? Camping, cheap hotel...

We've got two DR650's, a DRZ, a V-strom and Honda in the "off-road capable" part of the group. The rest of the gang is pavement only.

    Thanks!

Just downloaded the GW & TJ Motor Vehicle Usage guide. Now I've got the maps, but could use some tips on the best places for what we have in our group.

    Thanks Again!

Damn, Gary! It happened again?! You better figure out what's going on!

Chuck and I were up in the Montebello area on Sunday with Michhub and JaySee. We saw that 525 rider with the street tires and a couple of Deputys (!!!). They were hanging out at Shoe Creek :yikes .

I found the loose wire on the coil in my well lit garage tonight. I replaced the radiator hoses, so I must have knocked this wire loose. Good lesson learned.

I'm heading up to Montebello this weekend if anyone's up for a ride.
