I miss mine. I miss the entry ramps to interstates, dominating Ford Mustangs, traffic light stares, sweeping turns, the complete and utter dominance of the Eisenhower Interstate System.

The sonofabitch made my knee hurt so that I couldn't walk and I need to walk, so I got a GS, which is great but won't run with a RS.

    I could get another one couldn't I?

I had to add a set of pegs on the crash bar for longer rides. My knees aren't what they used to be either.

So far, I have one knee that feels stiff if I have been non stop for 2 + hrs That goes away with a few traffic stops or a refill. Other than that I just keep smiling. I have found that I have a tight spot behind my left/shoulder/neck that I have to find some stretches and remedies for. Right now working to find the cause. I think it is the chin up head position but it is much less with windshield low and appears much quicker with it in the high position. Still, I am sooooo pleased with this ride

Hey folks, I have looked through this thread and am just so amazed. The bikes are great but even more so is the passion for them. The new and fresh ones are things to drool over. Love the silver S with blue or yellow. Yet the older RSs, the GTs, the older Ks have appeal as well.. dang they all strike a cord of a rider who is pleased and enjoying the mount that is his. There is affirmation of one another without a gloating attitude of mines this and is better than.... If only the world could do manage to do this what a better place it could be. So guys/girls.. thanks for your positive spirit and support of each other.

It's not even the lines of the bike.

It's the combination of unheard-of reliability and "does everything well" rideability that makes my nether regions tingle.

It's fast as balls, corners like anything, can carry between 2-4 cases of brew and do it all for 600+ miles a day, 2 up.....

......for 200,000+ miles without major work.

You'd be hard pressed to find a bike model that can do so much so well for so long.

Amen. It's why I got mine. Plus it's fun when you stop. It's like having a dog, everyone wants to talk to you about your dog. Even women talk to me about my Bimmer....and that's saying somethin!

Not that I've seen - nor scratched bags - but that's just road character.:deal OTG said it better than I could. It's the sheer functionality of the thing that makes it beautiful, IMO. It's rare to see one of those around my neck of the woods, but when I do, right or wrong, it always makes me think the rider is a serious motorcyclist.

Someday I'd like a streetmissile to complement my beloved Scnellpanzer... and I likes me some Bricks. :evil

Hope they bring the K1300R to these shores... but if not, I'll be checking out the S.

    Be sure.

Here she is with her twin sister - we had the intent of having
a pair of 'his and her' '92 blue K75RTA's for my wife and I to ride, but
even with lowering mods, one was still too tall, so it got sold
    to a friend across town. We're eyeing a low seat/frame F650GS
twin now - mebbe if the economy straightens out....

Sweet, sweet bike. Smooth and stable. The motor gets a bit
busy (like most triples) above about 6K, but that translates
to 80 or so in top gear, so not really an issue. At nearly seventeen
years old, no mechanical issues save for a weepy seal or two,
just routine maintenance, and keeping the electrics inspected
to make sure everthing's clean, dry, and tight.
