I got mine on Feb 12th. I'm 1,300 miles into a trip to california. I'm on day 3 snowed in in arizona. I love the bike, it handled the miles great. I wish the fuel tank was alittle bigger though. Overall amazing machine.

Well, tomorrow's the day. I even brought my work Nikon D7000 home with me to capture it in its showroom state.

Normally I'd say I won't sleep tonight, but the powers that be have dealt me a stinking cold and I was so congested last night I barely slept two winks... Am so exhausted today that I'm pretty much guaranteed to sleep like the dead tonight.

Perfect! Well rested and fresh for tomorrow, with no rain on the forecast and a positively balmy 14°C :D

Oh... I've set up a new blog to give a little bit back to the good people of this site—the comments, experiences and advice have enabled me to research and make informed decisions on gear and extras, for which I am grateful.

In virgin state at BMW Park Lane, London. Delivery area is a rather odd heated underground facility.

Thanks - very pleased! Been riding it the past four days therefore no updates yet :D

Am actually surprised how painless the transition has been from a naked, low bike with a high stung engine to this - felt at home on it within an hour. Biggest difference is how 'lazy' the acceleration feels until you look at the speedometer and realise you're going well over the limit without trying!

Nice one, I've only managed about 120 miles so far but that will all change tomorrow... weather permitting I intend to break it in by doing a run around the Devil's Punchbowl just south of London. I say weather permitting as the tracks become treacherous mud slicks as soon as they get wet and I'm not sure I'm ready to put the bike down several times quite yet...

Hi everyone, this my new F800GS Trophy 2012. Got it on Dec 2011 and as I was the last to buy one, BMW dealer in Chile gave me a 10% discount to be used in the BMW accesories store :deal.

We are from Chile and already got more than 2.000 kms. Great bike with amasing performance. I name all my bikes (my last one F650GS Dakar was named Perla Blue) and my new one is Lulu. here she is

Hope that anyone who is coming to Chile, let me know!

5 Days! Five days and I back in the saddle after a too long of an absence. Can hardly wait!

Had a F650 Dakar years ago, sold it due to spousal pressure (big mistake)

Now new fiancee (a moto rider herself) and a new bike on the way :clap

Crash bars should be here before bike so I can slap those bad puppies on as soon as my Trophy is ready.

Only thing I need to figure out is hoe to flat foot it. Perhaps adjusting the pre-load and a custom seat will give me the extra inch I want.

    Hi everyone,

I picked up my new 2012 BMW F800GS Trophy last Friday and I am absolutely delighted.

Loving her looks, comfortable riding position, suspension, offroad preparation and the great power of the engine

I'm completely out of practice riding off paved roads at the minute so I ventured out to the Devil's Punchbowl near Hindhead UK last weekend. The byway started easy, further up I encountered 2-3 foot deep ruts from run-off when it rains, then a few steep hills with sharp rocks on soft sand... Nothing for a seasoned rider I'm sure, but I've not been off the tarmac for nearly a decade and it was an eye-opener just how out of practice I am...

Out the other end and back on the tarmac...

Apologies for rubbish iPhone pic, this was last weekend, bike standing on its own in clay mud... 45 minutes to get it unstuck. Stupid me for going in the mud with Pirelli scorpions haha

Here is mine I picked up just shy of a month ago. Duffs, do you have a shot of the rear of your bike with the boxes on? Debating on either the BMW or Tourtechs I think.
