Same weekend as Desert Raid....extend your ride and make it worthwhile. 6 day turnaround (comfortably).

    Absolutely.
Camp fire, sit back, relax and watch the show.
Might do an overnighter to the Breakaways.
Nearly committed to Desert Raid, can't do it.
    Work is frantic.

Finally found the historical rain data on BOM under Past Weather, Data and Graphs.
    Only took me 30yrs!

Looking for the best machinist in Perth to shorten some fork legs and re-thread internals and stuff like that.
Must be the best, not quick and not cheap.

20170727_194449.jpg Nah nothing wrong with my Tiger mate. She's packed and ready for Coalseam Conservation Park. Sat, Sun, Mon.
Edit. Think I'll fit another tool tube to hold my helinox cot. That's why the right pannier is sticking up a bit.

My boss got something he wants to tinker with. Probably an F2 outfit or some old bike he wants to modify the forks.

Cool and windy start to the day here.
The rain has eased up luckily.
High pressure system should push in later today and give us a bloody great weekend at Coalseam.

I will have a look when I get home tonight. I don't have a kit as such but have a few in my little shim box.

after a bit of track knowledge from the locals - we are heading over in September and after we make our way from Perth to Hyden we are looking at travelling either along the Holland Track or the one with the Breakaways - very basic map knicked off the intenet below.

So what are the tracks like - I know the "Hyden to Norseman" goldfields track is very well kept - 2 wd even - but what about the others ? Sand newby here ....any advice gratefully appreciated.

PS we lived in the Wheatbelt for a few some time ago so am familiar with conditions - just not on 2 wheels :-)

    TIA

Hey Kimi. Bean a while, still got the Tenere in the family?
I've got some new brake pads for it if you get to Perth.
Anyway, PM sent, gimme a call.
    Rod.

Edit. There'll be a few of us out the on 23/25th Sept.

Hyden to Cave Hill no sand.
Cave Hill to Coolgardie no sand.
Unless you really want to do the Holland Tk which has lots of sand these days.

Great to catch up with Dave at Coalseam last night, thanks for risking the weather mate.
Clear starry night around the fire and blue skies all day today.
#3 had a ping on for port like a case-ex on a DDG. THE ENTIRE BOTTLE.
    Great effort mate.

Has anyone got an old 520 chain lying around?
Just need to scrounge a couple of links for emergency spares.
