Yep. Prices are really good - $75 on Friday and $99 on Saturday. We are looking at doing 30 min. sessions so TONS of riding time. THere will be A group (race pace) and a B/C+ type group for street pace. Friday is less expensive because we are only going from 9 to 3:30 with a half hour lunch. There will likely not be a lot of people there so great riding time.

Saturday we are splitting the track with TTP racing (they have a race there on Sunday) so their racers will be going in the A group and then we will still have a B/C+ or street pace group. Saturday is only $99 because we will have a session or two in the A/Racer group that is doing timing runs for the race Sunday. We figured that if it is a good price people will still be happy if they have a short session here and there or have to be a bit more flexible.

The races on Sunday should be really cool too to come and watch. THere are classes for both licensed racers and an open street class for non-licensed people who want to race.

Here is the track info - http://www.sbk775.com/

Race info - being put on my TTP racing - http://www.ttpracing.com/

Come on out. Should be a great time.

Time for a roll call - who is up for a ride? I'm free for either Sunday or Monday. I tend to prefer Monday as most the weekenders are heading home that day. Sounds like we have myself and 211John. Howabout TroyinTahoe or Pointman.

I figure if we agree on a day and time the rest will work itself out.

    KDX,

Thanks for your info when I was up in Nevada last may (Fallon area riders).

RJNUTT from Gardnerville and I ended up riding the Black Rock and High Rock for 2 days...

We are planning a ride on Saturday out of Gardnerville... Unfortunately, since I've been on constant deployment, the wife wants me home for some of this weekend, so the plan is to pick up my KTM 950 from KTM in Reno Saturday morning and get in some good riding working my way towards Lee Vining. I have to head over the pass sometime before evening, but will have up to the afternoon free.

RJNUTT and i are thinking about retracing your last ride (great post by the way), but if you can get away on Saturday we'd be in for joining what ever ride you have going on.

    Cheers,:freaky

Last week-end I was in Kennedy Meadows(I heard the fly over A.Vern). This week-end I have friends coming up. Will try and get out with you guys sometime. I want to get up to Mt Patterson. Been to Lobdell lake on my 990.

Full on street tires when I was up there. Need to get the knobs on but she rides so nice on the highway right now with those Bridgestone Battlaxes.

I've got a list of honeydos I've committed to getting done Saturday otherwise I would come along ... Mt. Patterson is always worth the trip.

There is an alternate route up to Lobdell Lake. You can come in from Risue Pass. As you head east on Risue Pass, as you enter the recent burn area the road takes a sharp let heading uphill. At the apex of the left turn there is a road forking off to your right. About a mile and a half, two miles in you take the left hand road that "T"s off the one your on. Then another mile or so, in Taylor Valley, another road "T"s off to you right. Take this and it connects to FR 067, which takes you into Lobdell Lake from the south, and taking you right by the intersection with the road up to Lobdell.

You can also take FR 067 From Risue Pass. You come down to meet up with Desert Creek ad about 1.5 miles up from that junction you'll see a marked road forking off to your right, which be 067. And then there is the truly hardcore route, which is to take Risue Pass all the way out to the east side and at the dry lake take the road up to Rickey Mine. If it is still passable there was a 4x4 trail that connected from Rickey Mine over to 067.

And Tahoeacr, you will need knobs to get up to Patterson. Getting to Lobdell on street tires is no great feat, but from there on road is such that if you were in a cage it would be a rock crawler.

Since we ust did Mt. Patterson, Troyintahoe and I may be looking elsewhere for some fun this weekend.

I've heard there is a trail between Kingsbury and Spooner. May check that out.

There is a little bit of singletrack off of that. There was a little more til the forestry closed it last month. I could show you cause that is real close to my house. I can get away for an hour no problem. Also, I have found a three trails that drop down to Genoa.

Ya and I'm not limiting myself to the Donner/US50 route... just a future goal.
There's lots of Forrest Service roads in the Dog Valley/Stampede/Henness Pass Road area up to Davis Lake area then maybe to Antelope Valley... ???

Waiting to hear back from 211 John about tomorrow. He went to San Jose yesterday and hope to hear back from him. I am all for doing a ride some where up north/west of Reno, or perhaps east of VC to Silver Srpings.

Most of Storey County is private land and lots of it is posted no tresspassing. Seems like the middle section is all blocked off.
The whole area between Lockwood and VC highlands is open via Logomarsino Canyon, and I have ridden (years ago now) from Tracy to mountains overlooking Ferntucky then south to Stagecoach then back to VC (on the flats) and then Washoe Valley. But everytime I've tried the center section of the county it is blocked. Maybe after work I'll check up USA parkway again to see how it looks. Its some pretty dry and barren country except up by VC.
The hills behind Washoe Valley have some good roads, but many are pretty rough.

Pat, I got your PM. It looks like it won't be hot. If trail closure is a problem e/o VC then Tahoe or Plumas forests would be a cool alternative.

I think we are meeting up in VC. Lets say 9:00 AM, in front of the Bucket of Blood. Goal is to find a route to Silver Springs and back.

Next weekend lets look at doing Tahoe NF, or exploring between 80 and US50. We should have a break between bow and rifle deer seasons next weekend.
