Hey guys, from what I'm reading it seems Ms streets and trips does everything I need. The problem is that it doesn't work on android. I use my phone for navigation and the Google maps app doesn't allow you to add multiple way points and then use that for turn by turn navigation. Is there any app on android that does that effectively?

I checked them out. The problem I'm seeing is that it says it doesn't do turn by turn navigation well. It may be acceptable, but I don't want to fork over $20 to try it out with a decent chance it not working well enough.

I am curious as to why guys think roadtrippers is not good. They seem to be getting map data/directions from Google maps anyway. I found the tool to be pretty unreliable with 500 errors but functionality seemed to be what I would want from a road trip planning tool (at least for a road trip on the paved roads).

The Roadtripper app doesn't like any trip with more than 25 stops (I like planning out daily destinations), and neither does Google. Is there any system that is good for such multi destination trips?

Oh man, I hear ya! I've had this problem for years. Even made a mockup of an app that would solve this planning issue... Seems like Google only allows 25 waypoints. I'm talking with a developer about implementing something using an open source map... I'll keep in touch.

The waypoints are my issue as well , trying to keep the route on course uses up those way points very quickly .

Divide your trip in half. As if it is 2 trips with 25 waypoints for each.

I use http://project-osrm.org/ but it is a bit technical. I actually write my route in the Haskell programming language, then a small compiler to a format for routing.

It might help you using its interface though.
