I'd be interested in people's opinions on this too. I had to decide between this one and a Shoei RJ Platinum R. I ended up going with the Shoei.
I've had one for a couple of years and have been relatively happy with it. The internal sun shade is nice, the fit and finish is good and the liner is removable and washable.
I do find it a bit noisier than a full face helmet and my only other complaint would be the face shield. I'd like to see it about half the size...it find it just a bit too large.
Other than that, I've been completely happy.
I modified mine with a bit of vinyl from the shop...
My Nolan is 100x better brain bucket than my HJC's were.
Look at a Nolan N43e
Thank you C-Stain great vinyl!!!!! For me this helmet looks to be a good balance of looks and function. I have a vintage motorcycle and dont want to look strange riding around with a full face helmet because of looks and also visibility nor did I want the bowling ball style 3/4 because of looks. So I think this ones a modernized comparable with visibility and safety incorporated together to envelope the classic theme.
The Nolan is quiet Nice!! What else can you tell me about it?
Nice but the visor is just not for me, no pun intended but it reminds me of the local police officer that wears one just like this. What I like about these helmets is the fact you get the full wind effect, it really connects you to the whole riding experience.
This is interesting and caught my eye, kinda odd because it rubs with the whole 3/4 bowling ball helmet but there is something different about it. What do you think? AVG Diesel Hi-Jack helmet
Now here's the bowling ball effect I was talking about
anybody wanna take a lane LOL sorry I just cant help it with this helmet!!
Classic look yes, bowling ball plus polish rag yes,,,,
Here's the Speed and Strength SS2200
Many high end features looks nice.
The HJC IS-33
And the Nolan N43E
This is going to be a Tough choice
