This summer I will be riding the COBDR which ends close to the NW corner of CO. The plan now is to ride back thru CO and do several organized rides there in August. However.....

I'm thinking that it might be more fun to just keep going and more or less follow the route BigDog took on his Mexico to Canada ride a few years ago. It would be about three weeks and takes in a big part of the Tour of Idaho. It's beautiful up there! If anyone has time on their hands and wants to ride, PM me. This is not a trip I would do alone and need a partner or two. Motel and camp, move along briskly but smell the roses.

'Just throwing a line in the water to see if anyone bites....

Looking at the CDR myself, on a wr250r. Still trying to find someone else to go. What blend of camping /hotel are you doing? Stop at hot springs for relaxing? What bike?

I will almost certainly be on my WR250R, and in all honesty, my preference is to camp when I need to or when an appealing spot presents itself. Sometimes there is no reasonable alternative, and sometimes you find a spot that you just have to enjoy under the stars. It also depends on the weather and how much bear scat is laying around..... All is negotiable though when you have a riding partner.

Stopping at hot springs, historical sites, special spots, YES. I'm on permanent vacation now.
