I'd want way more than $30K to haul that stuff out of there.

Seller must be wanting alot of goodwill on this,,,because his inventory is nothing but a bunch of shit. Skeletons of non descript undesirable junkers, 25 year old tires, and rusted dented exhaust. It would take alot of work to sell off this shit to make the $500 rent!!

If someone was local... It might make sense to get him down a good chunk, carry the rent for 1 month. In that month part as much of it down to the actual desireables, straight rims, good rotors, any good seats, exhausts, tanks, gauges etc.

Then haul the rest as scrap.

Not 30K, but if you had a good amount of children...

Looks like tweaker heaven. I wonder what the chances are that he has good titles to the bikes.

    What a pile of shit!

If he was willing to give me 30k to deal with the shit, I'd have to think about it. :lol3

If it was free, one lived local, and had the time, by selling the good parts, you might be able to offset your labor.

Hmmmmm.....if there are really 100 bikes there, each would only have to be worth an average of $300 to be worth a total of $30,000. What's the average value of a 1970s UJM sititng in a scrap yard?

    $50.

$30K investments can be made in many other things with WAY WAY less risk & bother.
Pile of junk, the guy knows it, and he's looking for an idiot with a pipe dream, of which there are many.

If you can sell each one to the folks who produce the "Cafe Racer" show; about $750 each :lol3

Exactly - I watch that show and scratch my head at what they pay for old bikes rotting away in a scrapyard. Maybe the price increases 10x when the potential buyer has a TV camera crew with them.

Yup - I have seen a lot of people make bad investments when "unique" opportunities suddenly show up and are easy to jump into. If you are going to invest $30k, the question is: "is that the very best way to use 30k of ALL the ways you can invest it?".
