I think you mean west of 41............
Nick, you are correct, thank you. West it is!
Much the same as the rest of that area - range from simple smooth gravel, to ATV type trails, and rougher. The P-D often goes through that area, and I've often ridden through there.
I'm there almost every week this summer so why not join me on my next ride?
I have DS tracks for most of Ontario so I'm sure I can get you what you need.
How do you define "good GPS tracks"? The best source I know for meaningful tracks is DualSportMaps.com. CraftyCoder has a program that analyses the track data (speed, elevation,?) and estimates the difficulty and colour codes each section. My newer tracklogs are all fully detailed (i.e. not filtered to 500 points like the old GPS did) so I think they are good (I make maps from them) but you may not be able to tell whether it's smooth gravel that I rode slowly or a gnarly that I raced through. To me, a good track needs a written description - type of bike used, skill level, terrain type, etc.
However, a picture is worth 1000 words so a while back I started cataloging DS roads and trails and posted them here: https://picasaweb.google.com/106152489552600956419/DSRoadCatalogueSOntario#
I had a look at that website. Great idea and very helpful. My GoPro is annoying me immensely and I'm thinking of getting a Virb. I take it that would work well for this kind of thing?
I also hated my GoPros. Love the Virb, though it also is not perfect yet. But nothing about the Virbs annoy me as much as the GP did. Everything about GP is crap.
GPSCity.ca apparently has the Dark Elite for $329 until Friday. And Costco has the Virbs online too. Even CTC has them in the store but as with anything gps related, it's more expensive than anywhere else.

As much as I would love to join in this ride I have to work nights all weekend and will not be off in time to do so.
No problem bro, we plan on doing this every year!! Cheers
What is this 6am of which you speak? I don't recall ever being awake at that time.
Désolé, je suis au Boston cette semaine.
La prochaine fois, Yan.
No problem brother, have a great weekend in Boston!! Talk soon
Wish I could join you for STP Kingston, but I'm booked all day here in Peterborough. I will, however, get out for a ride tomorrow morning, 6:00 am.
Hey, if there's anyone in the Peterborough area interested in joining me chime in!
Thanks, Docman, for the initiative. Inspiring stuff.
Thanks for your support Marcus, ride safe and maybe you can join us here next year. We are thinking of a live broadcast in 2015.
Is there an age limit?
Not at all, all ages are good to go
Ladies and Gents,
Here it is, the Sync the planet 2014 Kingston crew. Thanks to all that supported me in this world first. It was a huge success around the Planet.
Heading for the west coast Thursday.
Here is the link to the ride report
From my mobile
For those who haven't yet viewed Docmans video, I highly recommend you take a few minutes to watch the video from kingston as well as the many others from around the 'planet'.
Very inspiring .... If that's the right word?
Great job docman! A lot of time and effort for a very worthwhile cause!
Thanks buddy, I'm definitely impressed to see so much great videos. So far Sync the Planet has saved 2 people from suicide (confirmed). Maybe more. Thank you for all your help and support.
