ok - bit of a can of worms there...

I just googled them - but I did look for pre-90s bikes, so the DR might have shaved some pounds...

And Jeff - water cooled are out. Heck my 1988 CR250 was 62HP and 230lbs :eek1 I was trying to keep it apples to apples.

not sure if they were wet or dry weights... This was not supposed to be a piece of scholarly research or anything...

Sorry I had to jet off on tech day just as Jim walked up to my bike with a handful of tools but I have been late a few times and its not pretty.

Bob- get yourself a filter and we can meet up in kingston, lay the damn things over and swap fronts and see. under a minute to have the wheel off so will be a quick way to check.

Did we look at part numbers from rotors comparing the SM to the E - just so you know the front end on mine is off an '03.

I'd say meet me after work today (I work in Gan) but I rode the scooter - 19HP and 360 lbs in case anyone is interested...

Fuck me, that's five minutes from my place, and the wife goes to work near that time. And I'm gone earlier.

Heading to Prescott Fri. for oil change on the S10. Probably the last one under warranty. Anyone want to come for the ride?

Good here. We head south to AZ again on Dec15. Just spent a bundle on my bike trailer turns out the axle was bent. Not gonna cry cause I got it cheap to start with though. Glad to know the connie is in a good home. They are a nice working machine. Just hoping Kathi don't bust any bones this year in the desert, she still is not right from the crash last Feb. I guess a split ligament is tougher to heal than a couple of busted bones. She sees a surgeon in Smith Falls tomorrow so who knows what he will say. Gonna meet some other ADV guys again this year we hope down there.

Sorry to hear this. It took almost 3 years for my pulverized heel to get to a point where I could walk without limping and relatively pain free. A really good pair of orthotics made all the difference. My guy works at Orthomedix on St Laurent Blvd in Ottawa. He's one of the best orthotic builders in Canada and used to work in the orthopedics dept at the Ottawa Hospital. Name is Gary Hayes. I highly recommend him.

Good luck with her further recovery!
