I'd like to go, but I've got to get my wife's bike plate-able. It'll be a wrenching-not-riding weekend for me.

    I must ride tomorow.
Otherwise how will i know if my new retina melting helmet makes me a better off road rider?

Looks pretty good. Now you can go into gnarly trails by yourself and the chopper with the search and rescue party can find you

I hope to do it later on a bike better suited to the terrain. The DL is up for sale. I'll ask later the story behind the bent shifter :evil

some times the most anassuming trails can be the most treacherous.
this tall grass hid deep ruts and large rocks.

the left side of my skid plate bounced off one of those large rocks/small boulders (it was quite the jolt) and deflected it into my shift lever. I just kicked the lever back straight and rode on.
without a skid plate I would have busted the engine case and walked out.

Hey Stretch! You should share your story about your headlight fail that I read about on Carolina riders.Pretty slick! Someone else may find that usefull! I would have been calling Tammy to bring the truck before I would have thought of that.

    Hi All,
I live in Greenville and have been dual sporting for a number of years now (just bought a Terra 650). I like the technical stuff and would love to ride some of the trails in this thread. I usually do Pisgah, Horse Pasture, Bad Creek, Gorges, Green River, Pinnacle Mtn, etc. I'm planning to ride this Saturday, usually do 150 miles or so, ping me if you'd like to ride.

I'm down, just a matter of timing. My schedule gets pretty busy this time of year.

I'm out for Saturday unfortunately. Though we need to catch up before long. If you picked up a husky, did you sell the dakar?

I really need to sell the DL-650 before I think about hitting these trails, especially after seeing the ones Stretch has in mind.
