    Hello all,
I'm wondering if any of you inmates had ridden across Texas from one boarder to the other (East West or visa-versa) on all dirt or mostly? I've found little routes here and there of riding spots but nothing on a trans state trip. Any info would be great.
    Thanks

It is all going to depend on where you start and were you end. Myself and another member of the Houston BMW Club have been trying to work out a mostly dirt route from Camp Wood to Alpine and I have become convinced that it can't be done south of I10. North of I10 will require a lot of North South travel.

Most mapping software will include private roads that you cannot travel. Best to check with the TxDot county grid map system while you plan.

Farther north one could string together the ET450 route from the Lousiana border to and try to hitch it to the Lubbock/Fort Worth Loop.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking of stitching a few legs together. The plan, Mississippi hill country trail south to north then hook up to the TAT head west tothe shadow of the rockies and do the southern part of it then shoot heading back east across Texas back home to Louisiana. That's the idea anyways.

Long routes across Texas are very frustrating. Too much Private Land with Locked Gates.

It looks good on a Map but is very hard to tie together.

Good Luck with it and if you find a Route ,please let us know!
