I have a rusted bolt in my middle crash bar of my GSA I'm having trouble getting out. Anyone have a machine shop or know of a good place that can help me out? This is the bar that goes in front of the Generator Belt Cover.

I've used Hamilton Machine Works near Garner/Raleigh and T.Hoff in Raleigh.

Yet, looks to me like you need some heat, a good drill bit and an EZ-OUT. Good luck...

I would soak it in wd-40 for a few days. Then I would use my cheapie Lincoln welder to zap a nut onto what's left of the bolt. The heat from the welding would probably help as well. Hopefully you could back it out with a regular socket after that, or vise grips.

Excellent excuse to buy a welder.

Have one. Currently packed up somewhere. Long story short. I moved out of my house 1k sq feet with a pole barn 1300 sq feet in Indiana and moved down here to Raleigh and crammed everything into a 1300 sq feet house. We close on our new house this friday.

    FYI
I used Current Enterprises Inc. in Morrisville. It was between my wife's work and my work. They were able to get it out. Not sure if they used an easy out, left hand drill bits, or welded a nut and removed. I would have tried in that order if my stuff wasn't all packed up. :cry The cost was cheaper than a new bar from the dealer at least. :evil
