Located just south of Cosby on Hwy 321. Kind of a promotional display for the recruiting station there. I came from Johnson City this AM from my daughters house to claim this tag and the clue that finally got me close was figuring out it was on Hwy 321. :deal

I live in Charlotte and y'all let me grab your tag.:rofl
    New tag up shortly.

The location of this tag hosts a large assault on it each year and is one of the most popular usually windy spots in the state. Go get it!

Gotta have a little faith in your fellow taggers. Think of Donald Southerland in "Kelly's Heros." "Think Righteous Thoughts Moriarity, stop with the negative waves."

West Virginia Tag-O-Rama had one sit for 50 days. Not in an obscure location, either. Literally, smack-dab in the middle of the state.

Very cool! Can't wait to see where next. Dang, don't I always say that? Jeff was at my house to upload his grab and that new tag so I wasn't going to go get it.

Oh, the assault Jeff mentioned is a bunch of crazies on bicycles racing up that mountain. Makes my legs burn just thinking about it.

:lol3 Nobody doesn't want to ride the mountains right?

I'm hoping somebody'll snag it and drag it towards one of the extremes of North or South.

Nice grab Cuttle. Weren't you the one who was going up there with your Dad? If you are I figured you would be the one to grab the tag. And the key word in the clue was assault as Geeez mentioned. Big bike race called the Assault on Mt. Mitchell every year plus the elevation on the sign as well as the view were pretty good hints as well.

I'd have a hard time to get my dad to join me (my family lives in Germany) :waysad

I had a good time: 2 hour ride, back roads, gravel and the shortest amount of BRP possible (I don't like the rubberneckers doing 35) and back in time for some good BBQ - perfect day!

The next tag will be burried in the sticks..... stay tuned. Gotta leave early to be back in time to post within 24 hrs (can't do my hightech transmisson since my hubby will be joining me :lol3).

    Happy 4th of July!

I did something like that when I grabbed the Craggy Gardens tag. I rode out to Hot Springs then set my GPS to go to Craggy Gardens and it found Craggy Gardens road which was gravel. Very nice ride and it just didn't have the same feel as most Tennessee or North Carolina woods.

Do us a favor and make sure it's obvious what state you put the tag in. I might need another ride tomorrow. :D

Sorry, I started late, waiting for the rain to stop.

Since yesterdays tags was SE of me, I decided to find a spot more west - just take a map and follow my tracks...

With no real tag in mind, I went along the creek named after an evergreen scrub. I ride part of this road at least once a week, when I take the "long way home" from work, and going the opposite direction was an great change. Not having an ipod I started humming this song (click on it for background music and keep reading)

    <object width="425" height="344">

    <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OyA_DNw2vyg&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>

and I turned left to go up the hill to scout out a possible tag. It's such a fun road (unless you don't like tight turns), but I just couldn't decide on a good tag location:

I even mad an "makeshift tag" :lol3

so I went back to the original road, turned left and passed this place:

Not happy enough (and to close to home) with the tag, I followed the road almost to the end. That's were it gets confusing - according to the maps I turned right on a street with a German name (go figure), but in real life the street sign is the same as the tag location :huh

Either way, I headed north to take a picture of an old house on top of a Hill across a Chapel:

    the next tag:

    Good Luck!

:lol3 sorry guys (I tried to do a blond driving clue :rofl)

It's actually not to hard if you look at a map and follow my steps

    1st: find my location
2nd: take the road named after an evergreen scrub
3rd: the song will "confirm" that you got the right road
    4th: keep riding east
5th: turn left and you'll find the tag :deal (it's all there)
