Were looking at trying to make this rally. A riding buddy and I are wanting to make another trip this year and this might fit better for our schedule. Whats the weather like for this rally were thinking tent but we can bring a trailer is it gets really cold at night.

The weather has been quite excellent for three years running now on the same first weekend in October. Days have been sunny and 70's pretty much everyday, with each night dipping to, and just below, freezing.

We have LOTS of inside space by the woodstove for bags and people.
So if'n any a-ya wanna,.....you're welcome to skip the tent and sleep inside.
Bring a pad and your earplugs.

Sweet, great feedback. I will talk to my buddy and we will get a game plan together. I think we will be there. We went to the Wallowa rally and had a great time meeting fellow adventure types.

We want to ride to the dual sport ride Thursday with you guys. What is the fuel stop situations on the Friday and Saturday rides? I have about 130 range in good conditions a little less with tight trails.

Yeah,... but we have a Pig Roast !!! :norton
Boy Howdee, have I got a sub-frame breaking route for YOU on Saturday !!
The more the merrier, until morning clean-up :D
I had the opportunity to ride this gigs' Saturday's "Suicide Ride" route yesterday with two fast 9x0 riders (one is a Heavyweight),.....looking forward to you tailing my Akro's again, Darryl !!
    Or....bring the kids.
Our dogs will watch them, they're GREAT babysitters :1drink
They like wet slobbery faces like most kids, right?
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah,...yer already on the In-List, LP.
You really don't have the choice not to come.
    You named this event.
You became one of us (or now, two of us?) at this event.
    You are obligated. Period.
Glad to hear you won't lose your job over it, at least
Excellent!! and welcome to the AVR :clap
Thursday's planned ride will likely be afternoon/evening short ride, but we can take the time to steer you in the right direction. Friday's main ride will have a fuel/food stop 2/3 the way through, and you'll be fine for Saturday's ride; it's a shorter ride that will just make you feel like it was much longer (committed riders only), But don't feel like our planned rides are the only rides. Head out ANY direction from here, and you WILL have an excellent ride, no guidance required :deal

Sounds like a great event! I look forward to meeting everyone. I live in HR and still getting used to riding dirt out here. Just dumped the r100 in an apple orchard last week :) Glad I got that out of the way...

It's easy,,just ride down the downhill road from that spot up on the mountain where you first turned off,,ride down down down, almost all the way to the bottom, watch for fruit trees on yer left, and turn when you see the next intersection,,then, ride just a little futher,,,it's right on the other side of that other road, back there where you shouldn't have turned yet cuz you did'nt listen,,and then, not too far from just over there where the fruit trees grow,,heck,,I could find it in the dark totally drunk,,,,,(from the back seat, with someone else driving,,turn in here!):clap
If you are greeted by wolves instead of goldens,,then you are in the wrong drivewy,,(but yer still safe at home),,

    that's how I know to get there!:1drinkYMMvary
