I did not realize how bad Kentucky is
Worst in the East, maybe worse then Auburn even. I'm sure Mizzou will finally get a SEC win when they play each other.
Looks like you are somewhat of an electronics technician! Pretty good too if you got your monitor working. I worked at a television repair place after I got out of the service. I had some electronics training in the Navy. Haven't done any of that for years and don't have any real diagnostic equipment. I have a Pioneer VSX-271X Multichannel Receiver that quit working some time after I had a power surge at my house (lightning). It worked for a while after that and just quit. It is about a $1200 unit new but I can't find anyone that works on stereo equipment. You want to take a crack at it in your spare time?
I would be happy to take a gander at it Tim, I will see if I can google up the schematic.
edit- finding lots of VSX models, but not the 271, are you sure on the model number?
I looked here:
Oh, Sorry, I read it wrong it is a 27TX. I appreciate your offer to see if you can fix it. I will get it to you somehow. Let me know what would be the most convenient way for you.
so everyone survive the storms last nite? We got just a little wind and some rain, nuttin out of the norm
Rained about 1/2" here. Lotsa lightning and thunder. And sometime last night my fat dog went missing.
bummer..storms scare the fat dog away?
I don't think so. Storms didn't hit till after he went missing. He wandered away once before, chasing free food from up the road. I reckon he'll show up sometime today. If not, oh well.
yeah petey did that once..chased a deer..later that nite it rained and apparently washed his scent away so he could not find his way home. He was gone for 4 days before we found him a mile away to the south..
Should I be worried? All y'all are being too quiet.
Be afraid, be VERY afraid!!!!
tough to talk with your mouth full
Is Ted visiting?
I saw Travis today on his bike racing past during a hair scramble down by the spoke plant near Boston Church. #851. He did not see me but some people parked next to him said, "here he comes now". They were racing a 7 mile track for two hours! Damm, that must be brutal!
Got my fat dawg back. The idjit was playing in the road 1/4 mile from the house. The lady who had him said he came close to getting hit a coupla time so she turned around and went back to check on him.
She opened her car and the slut jumped right in. She found my phone # on his collar and called me today. I drove over to her house and retrieved the mutt.
It was bad enough that he ran off, but going to get him interrupted my tearing down the XR to asses damage. Pics to follow on that lil adventure.
Ripped the top end off my '95 today. Found a hole burnt in the piston and some scoring on the rear cylinder wall. Sooooo...
New top end. Wondering how big I can go without having to do major intake/exhaust work. I'm running stock carb and exhaust presently.
Here's what I found.
Scuffing/slight scoring on the cylinder wall.
And so it'll sit till I get all my parts together. Lessee, tires on the wifes car or parts for the bike. Hmmmmmm
what the heck did he do to burn a hole in the piston?
that bike looks identical to my sons xr250 sitting in here naked.
IM glad you got the dog back, ive lost a few through the years, and not knowing always bothers me.
BTW I think I might have seen scribe at a gas station in town this morning.
on a black and grey cool aid maker.
I'm not sure what the cause is Matt. I couldn't find any leaks around the intake tract. And I rode the bike just a few days before Wil did without any trouble. He just got the luck of being on it when it went sour.
The dog is very glad to be back home.
