It'll be a load off. Now I have to give the renters 30 days notice now. That'll be fun as they are personal friends of Martha's.

A shame that the buyers couldn't have placed the contract last month when they first looked, if they had I wouldn't have to pay the H.I. assesment fees....grrrrrr

We won't make very much on the house Gus. We will however be rid of it and everything it entails at present. Some Doctor fresh from Med School bought it. He must owe a ton of money for his education cause he did his best to get the price as low as he could.

It would be even more interesting if I was installing it on my Mac.

Well, I'm using Chrome so things is much better. :lol3 Really too early to tell, but so far 8 looks like a poor mans Mac OS. The "App" store is a joke, and you would think since I upgraded from the hell known as Vista I would see some impressive speed. Well, M$ proved me wrong, :lol3 I especially love how they stripped the OS down and expect you to pay extra for things like Media Center.

IMO, Win 7 - 64 bit would have been a better bet. I am an XP fan but this 64 bit is not too bad.

Not heard much good about 8.

I just wish I was better at Ubuntu....

    YMMV

I've been using 7 64 bit for a while on my game machine and it's been great but I never bothered to upgrade my laptop. I went with 8 for it because it's less then half the price of 7. Since all I use the laptop for is reading the internet and e-mails and using Mapsource and Basecamp I lived with crappy ole Vista up till now.

Todd loves Ubuntu, he;s been using it for years. I just use the Apple version of Ubuntu, they call it Mac OS but it's just Linux with a fancy GUI, :lol3
