I guess the trout fishin' questions I asked encroached upon top secret info... or could be somethin' as simple as I just don't fit in here!

Ah well... can't keep up with all the postin' anyway.

    Y'all have fun!

I didn't see you post anything about trout fishing Vinduro. But then I don't know anything about it anyway.

I missed this too, sorry bout that.

I trout fish in the White from Bull Shoals Lake to Norfork. I also fish the Norfork some (it is short).
I fly fish some, but this trip was all spin fishing with Rooster Tails (gold blade, 1/8 oz) on 4 lb test line (I like lo vis green).

Any time of year is fine, as the rivers are coming off the bottom of the lakes. I like winter, less people.

We were wade fishing, but you can also rent Jon boats, or float a stretch in a canoe.

    Very, very easy fishing.

Actually I ride on the gas tank on the G-Wing and the GSA. They are under me. The G-Wing more so than the GSA.

    That guy can ride!

Albie, my nephew Greg and I spent a few days over near Cotter on the White River. The water was down the whole time, and the weather and fishing were super. We ate pretty well (venison stew, brisket, ribeyes, leg o lamb, burgers and brats).

Mike, I only use gold bladed rooster tails. Any color is fine, as long as it is yellow or black! The one in the picture is a "yellow coach dog", my favorite. The black glitter one also worked very well.

Here is the HERE to 14 photos, with a few teasers below.

Great scenery, and we had the river to ourselves, for the most part.

We got many browns and rainbows. None of any size (21.5" brown was the largest), but they were all fun.

    THANKS for the info, Magoo!

That looks like a lot of fun... and I NEED "very, very easy fishing". Curious: Do you know if there any outfitters up that way that rent the whole smear (waders, rod/reel/etc) to a "Trout Fisherman For The Weekend" kind'a guy?

While the wife and I were in Crested Butte this past Sept., and thinking in terms of our "next Colorado vacation", we priced a guided day of trout fishing w/all needed supplies. Was going to be about $500 for a day, as I recall.

However, trout fishing north Arkansas in the off-season could be as much fun!
