You can take your written test and skills :rofl test in Gentry too.

We had to have someone come out and fix our furnace today, I was able to get it to limp through the weekend so we wouldn't have to pay for a holiday service fee. Defrosted the freezer again :puke1, and found a website for appliance repair that listed the cause as a frequent problem. So parts are ordered for that.

    So that's three right?.....roof...furnace...fridge....can I relax now? :D

it got hot for some reason, it might be leaking, got low, and hot hot enough to vent
my yota did that about monthly before I fixed a few things on that poor old rear end.

Hmmm. Think there could be some kind of passage thats getting blocked that allows the fluid back into the differential? I'm gonna go dip my finger in the fill hole and check the level.

    EDIT: Dana 44, Detroit locker.

allowing fluid back in from where?

ive got a dana 44 empty housing if you want to look at it, its like any other solid axle ive ever seen.

drain it, refill a known amount, run it, and check later, and check real good for leaks, pinion seal, diff cover, and at the ends of the axle tubes.

its going somewhere, and youd have to do something silly to get it hot enough to vent otherwise.

silly, like running a detroit locker on the interstate..

I had to replace every faucet and water shutoff in the house this summer, along with both toilet valve assemblies.
I'm just glad that I don't have to pay someone to do everything.

    welp...I got him! :clap

I secured a rat trap to the board and the rat took the bait! If you look at the 1 o'clock position of the tub, you will see the rat as it fell off the board. Apparently, as he pushed on the lever and the trap sprung, he jumped backwards but was not quick enough. The trap bar slammed right across its face. I found the rat on the ground on the left side of the tub

the light kinda washes this pic out but you can see me holding the DEAD rat by the tail!

If I were single, no kids, no hobbies, and read more books, worked on less stuff, and didnt feel the need to fix things, that would be a great option.

at this point in my life, it is not a valid one though.

Im bouncing between living out in the woods with a giant workshop, or burning all of this shit to the ground and living on a sailboat on the coast
