LOL No a hole i keep tossing money in. But dam its fun
ok guys..where do you suggest to go to eat a real good steak in FYV?
There is a place in Bentonville that the food channel said is in the top 10 in the world to eat a steak. Doe's eat place or something like that. one in littlerock to. never ate there before. but top 10 is pretty good for NWA. Dont know fay that good sorry
best steak I ever had was in Powell WY...cooked just rite for my like'n and I could cut it with a butter knife..no fat nor grizzle..gawd that was a good hunk of meat!
Define good steak? High dollar, medium dollar or reasonable?
IMHO, and based on two eating
High Dollar - "Vetro" on the square in F'town You will drop $100 for two without drinks.
Medium Dollar - Outback $40 without drinks
Lower Dollar - Logans $30 without drinks
That would be Ruth Chris Steak House (I'm guessing). For two $120 easy without drinks but the steak will melt in your mouth. They bring it to your table still sizzling. It is oven grilled at 1500* and is the best I have EVER had anywhere.
Wait you said Bentonville. Ruth Chris is in Rogers.
Sounds great Charlie, you could be selling the place! I've heard the same from several people now. I must go...
Doe's Eat Place originally started down in SE Arkansas, then added a second in LR. Now in several places including Fayetteville. Big steaks, expensive and just OK.
Herman's in Fayetteville used to be THE place. Poor meat supplier now. Almost inedible, tough ribeye even when served rare (like he wanted). Way over-rated.
Most surprising place, for the best medium priced steak? Catfish Hole on Wedington. I don't like their catfish, but their steaks are top notch.
R Chris is a chain, the steak you get may or may not be up to par. Usually very good but there is a flavor an open flame, managed properly, will produce that a that a broiler cannot. No way a R Chris location is on the world top ten list. No way!
good enuff for me! TNX Charlie!!
It may not. However I have eaten there at least once a year for the last 18 years in four separate locations from Texas to Louisiana and St. Louis to KC and have never been disappointed.
Their cooking methods may be different but it works for me. Which steak house do you recommend?
Got a bike ? for u guys. Had our little xr70 out today. Had it running for a while and started getting the smell of a burnt Clutch in a car. The oil was filled to the line. I did not see any other fuilds i can check. Any ideas?
is that an auto without clutch bike Stuck?
or is it a clutch, like the XR80 and bigger?
edit- ok I googled it, seems to be clutch less.
this might be useful
Say what? Doe's started in Greenville MS. It's a chain restaurant.
(havent been there in a while and saw Magoo's post about how horrible meat supplier is. )Herman's by fiesta square has good steak. Been around for a long time. Somehow the best steak I have had if Fayetteville is in my own kitchen! Had filet with portabella mushrooms and onions tonight. Too cheep to pay someone else to cook what I can. My daddy was a butcher:) Now sipping on IPA from West Mountain Brewery
Best I've had was Cool River in Dallas. A lot of people thing Del Frisco's is the best in Dallas but I think they're living on their rep.
I've never ha a bad steak there either. One of the best steak chains out there. Morton's is the best but I doubt they'll ever put one here in NWA.
Man that reminds me of a Filet w/shrooms I had in Sydney, Australia
With a bottle of Rosé. Mouth watering.
Think ill at least have a glass of wine.
Hereford House or Golden Ox in KC
wow..if I could move in with you, I could eat good and Petey could get free physicals!
I had Morton's in Singapore, one of the best I've had.
Haven't had Ruth Criss.
Doe's Eat Place cooks damn good pieces of meat, on a flatiron grill and ruins it IMO.
My favorite place in NWA is Texas Land and Cattle in Rogers.
Outback isn't bad for the price.
My favorite place period is Jamile's in Tulsa.
