Hey is Jamile's still good? We ate there some in the 90's but havent been there in a long time. Some of the recent reviews were bad so we didnt know if we wanted to try it again or not.

our friend across the street used to be a butcher. He gets all his meat from sams club in big chunks and cuts it himself. There is a butcher shop off the gateway exit in MO. Just before Joplin. Great smoked pork shops and a lot of good cuts of beef. There snack sticks are really good. Its a nice drive. Its called Hatfields. if ur ever riding by its worth going in to just smell the smoked meats. Wife likes the beacon ends to put in her beans. Its the best butcher shop we have been in out here so far. our friend is very hard to please being a retired butcher and he likes the place

Blowing pretty good out this way. Actually warm enough in the garage to be working on bikes in a T-shirt.

Just hope on one of your faster bikes Albie. You would get there pretty fast. There some nice side roads up there. Its a nice place to stop at get some of there beef snack sticks and a soda and some smoked pork chops and jump back on the bike. But if you taste the snack stick your ride home will not be as fast. you will keep stopping to have another one

They have sodas and chips and candy. But the snack sticks and meat is pretty good. If you cook beans a lot the bacon ends really add a nice smoked taste to them, The pork chops are really good. Lots of other stuff to pick from.

The Cottage Bacon, made using boneless boston butt, at Ozark Smokehouse on 62 in Farmington is darn good and a bit leaner due to the cut then most stander bacon without being as lean as ham.

Those look like great bikes. Pretty heavy tho with a road ready weight of 415 lbs. I guess you are used to that weight after riding the F800GS. That is a good 100 lbs. heavier than the WR. I'd hate to have to pick that sucker up. :norton

Guess the storms are gone, it's a sunny day now! We had pouring rain, wind and hail here most of the afternoon.

Howdy gents. Back in NWA. Had a cake for my little man's 1st birthday yesterday (His B-day was actually the 11th).

I am all 407 qualified now. That aircraft is fast. Pulling 82% torque or so with a full bag of gas and 3 on-board and it cruises 125 knots with the float system which increases drag. It will do a 135 easy, and max is 140. Engine usually temps out before torque limit so tells you how hot they are running that engine. Engine is thermal limited to 813 horsepower, we are pulling 630 at max continuous torque if you get there before temp limit, and 674 at max takeoff 5 minute limit, again if you get there. Have a 5 minute temp limit as well, so you might. Don't need it though, aircraft makes more than you need at max gross which is 5250 lbs internal, well short of the 6,000 lbs external. Should be pretty fun to fly.

My 2 cents on the steak thing. Best I have had was at Capital Grill in Denver, we spent $265 for two people with drinks and desert and tip and all. Gallagher's in New York, New York casino in Las Vegas has damn good meat too. Aged out front for passers by to see. Wet and dry aged for about 3 weeks.

Of course no steak is really worth talking about if it don't come with beans.:D
