Wife has whale wars on. This TV show is crazy. The whalers need to get some bigger guns and blow up the animal lovers. I dont see how theses people get away with it. plus they get a tv show. WTF?

I got the DRZ electrical system back to 100 percent this afternoon. Gotta button things up now.

Next on the list is to change the fork oil, not a job I'm looking forward to.

    Ha!

I've marked-off for this coming Monday. Going to hit the OK/AR mountains again. Honey Buns surprised me by wanting to go, too. :huh

The general store at Bates is open again... so we'll be dining on some good burgers or whatever!

Eat your hearts out, all ye that have to work Monday. :lol3

    BTW:

Honey Buns n' me and the dirt bikes are going back to Colorado the first week of September. This time we're going to base out of Silverton. The Alpine Loop is on the "definite maybe" list, along with some other stuff we're familar with.

We've also marked off for the last full week of October. Planning on dual sporting (and maybe an overnighter on the HD) the Ozark and Ouachita mountains all week long.

    Can't wait!!!

I sold the WR250X today, to a young guy down in Benton. Him and his buddy got tied up in the I40 wreck traffic and after getting turned around they showed up to pick up bike, 3 hours late. I rode the bike to work and had to have my lovely wife come pick me up. I'll miss that bike, for sure but I just can't stand to see it sitting in my shop, day in and day out.

I'll probably be selling my boy's XR70, pretty soon and hopefully find a super cheap hard to start Honda XR. :D

Vinduroman the Alpine Loop rocks! Fairly easy, I don't think the wife will have any problems. I may be out there again around the same time, we will have to hang out a day or two!

    Hi TC!

Yup... we've done the Alpine Loop several times in rented Jeeps and our own 4WD... but it's been a few years and I NEVER thought we'd be riding bikes over it... so sort of trying to remember if there would be any "OH NO!" sections for her.

Why heck yeah... if you two are out there the same time as we are... we'll HAVE to meet up. At the very least, we can go eat at Handlebars or the Brown Bear!

    Cornbread, ALBIE.

working on the square today, kept smelling good things from Brick house Cafe.

finally stopped in about 11 to ask what the special was.

pinto beans, with local bacon, and cabbage, and cornbread

    it was delicious.

this cornbread was crunchy, like stone ground, yellow and blue cornmeals, but it was light and fluffy like cake , but NOT sweet, may have been a hint of chili powder in it.

it was good, I should have taken a picture but I was too busy eating.

I like sweet cornbread. Don't enjoy dry cornbread, neither.

Good cornbread is really good eating with beans n' taters and also crumbled up in milk!
