Top of the morning to everyone!
Just some information for those interested. Motorcycle Superstore offers a military discount of 10% off all orders with a CAC card (controlled access card). Just use the contact link for MSS and place the the order number of your MSS purchase in the body of the email and include an attachment (picture) of the CAC front and back. 10% off will be applied.
For what it is worth.
can I borrow your CAC card..we old guys all look alike!
Buy good riding gear! I hit a logging chain at 30-40 mph Friday. The fender slung the chain over my handle bars taking out my GPS mount and one double take mirror, ripping me from the bike only to sink rocks into my helmet! My Scorpion jacket/pants with kevlar and full pads saved me. I am sore today, more sore than Friday and Saturday. Nothing is broken and I lost no hide! Every dime I spent, on the formally thought to be too expensive gear, earned ten fold ....easy. Ride on fellow ADV'ers and watch out for logging chains while partially blinded by the sun. Damm, I felt like a Pro Quarter back being slamed that way!
Holy cow Scotty glad you're ok!
damn! Didi you save me the chain, I could use and extra logging chain..you see, I lost mine and don't know where it is...glad you're okay tho..how the heck do you pick up a chain lay'n on the road and have it sling up and around you? :huh
glad you got all the tigers moved cause if you were still doing that, you wouldn't be worth a flip at helpin right now!
Nope, chain had a lock on it. I was sure cussing! Them dam four digit county roads. You never know!
Has that road been legally closed? When? By what authority? Were there warning signs prior to the negligent and potentially lethal chain?
This crap needs to stop. Wish I were rich enough to afford legal services... the perpegator of some of these situations need to be gone after!
VERY glad the chain hit you low. I have known of these situations that decapitaded the rider. In another situation, it severed the riders esophogal(sp?) passage and he choked to death before help could arrive.
cold wet, and miserable!
glad to be home, I wish I had another 40 gallons of hot water to warm me up.
It was end of the road. Totally my fault. I was familiar with road but totally forgot. Sad but true!
Well that sucks, Scotty. As mentioned before, though, glad you're okay.
Darn. I was hoping to get out the torches n' pitchforks n' all that jazz and have us a lynchin' for hurtin' one of ours!!
Shoulda come riding with us Scotty!
The camp and ride was awesome. Great weather and great riding! Props to Oleary for putting it together.
Glad you are ok Scotty. We should go get a bolt cutter and ride out and remedy the chain problem.
one of these days, I am gonna get to do this!
I stopped by Jacks a few times FRI, and at least 4 times on Sat, saw lots of folks, but not you or Oleary.
yall must have ridden into the night both days!
Glad to hear you are much better than u could have been!
Sure you will. NOT
