bygolly I am worn out! Friday before the hillbilly run, I was helping my oldest work on building his shed/shop. Saturday I rode the Hillbilly Run, almost 300 miles of dirt and some pavement. Sunday, monday and tues, more const. of the shed/shop..didnt get home until after 10pm last nite I feel a nap come'n on SOON!
Hey JD, bring your pretty wife..as I am thinking that I will be there, and Ms Sharn' will tag along also, and she really likes your wife and enjoys talking to her, so, if you bring your wife and I bring mine, they can visit and bond and I know mine will be happy and not feel that I ignored her at a gather'n..so can ya help a feller out?
hey guys..had someone PM me asking for a "203 Htsvill jasper " track and after looking thru my library, I do not have this one..charlie? 10cup? O'leary? Ojay? anyone?
do you have this track and if so, can you send it to me ASAP? These guys from Iowa are coming down here tomorrow and would like to get this track before leaving..HELP?????
I'll see what I can do. Might be an "interesting" swill if all those who say they're coming show up. :eek1
What's the story on the Iowegians? When/where are they riding and staying?
And you will be where?
Why don't you come so I can pick your brain about Yamaha suspension setup and such?
he sez that they are going to be in and around the Jasper area..suppose to leave Iowa tomorrow and be here thru the weekend
Yeah the famdamily and I are gonna try and make it, but we may have to take Cooper to baseball practice. Hopefully it's rained out.
Ya needing to do some clickin' on your suspension? Be glad to help ya out.
Thanks Ted! I bought some new fork oil the other day (Bel-Ray 5w) and never have worked to set up the suspenders right on the WRR. To be honest, the last time I did any suspension work was back in the day when about the only thing there was to do was to either change out the suspension, change the viscosity of the oil or put in new springs. Adjusting sag, preload and rebound...say what???
Wasn't mine Doc, I looked through my library too.
I'll be glad when school's out so I can make it to swill as well.
Hey Matt, can I crash on your couch after?
Four more coming down to Jasper from Wisconsin, if the weather holds up.
Riding out of jasper Sunday to Tuesday.
We have some good tracks from the Iowa guys, would be great to meet some of the local riders too.
Any of you need a pair of pants? i have a pair of 38s with zip in liner. There to short for me. make u a deal on them
Those'd keep my nipples warm!!!
Iowa pig farmers and Wisconsin cheeze heads too. The horror!
Just kidding. I grew up in SE Iowa and spent a lot of time contributing to the Old Style economy listening to polka at the big beer hall in La Crosse, so have a fondness for that region. I hope our paths cross while you're down here enjoying the good weather and great riding.
Any of you guys ever ride or own a 650 v strom?
DRZCharlie used to be VSTROMCharlie. Don't remember if it was a 650 though.
Great bike. Not much for serious dual sporting but do well on maintained gravel/dirt roads. And you can stack serious miles up on one on pavement.
I've got access to one if you'd like a test ride.
