Been thinking about that myself. May sell mine in the spring. Can't make up my mind. I like to do a lot of physical stuff, including stuff with my kids. Getting hurt at this point in the game is something that could put a real damper on my lifestyle. I could use the money to buy me a new bike for the street (pedal type), and some new skates like I used to have. They are expensive.

I wonder if the kids got cold and damp down at Long Pool?

Rode down to hot springs last night for the documentary film fest. Really great event that they put on.

I've had the bike almost five weeks and have already put over 3,000 miles on it. You could say I've been enjoying it :clap

I made to an organized ride today.
Rolled in to the TAT SHACK with 10 minutes to spare before the ride began. It didn't give me much tims to THAWout from the ride down in the predawn cold.
Good showing. Helmet count was 23.
Slick muddy trails to start. Had a blast.
Trip down and back to NWA was a total of 11 hrs on the bike clocked just over 300 miles.
    Looking forward to another one.

Thanks to all who organize these events.

Hey guys, dumb question. What is the TAT shack I keep hearing about? I assume it has something to do with the trans america trail but curious what the shack is.

Wednesday it is. Mdawg? Anybody else want to come along?

Also, speaking of the trans america trail. I think that's something I want to try in the future. The hardest part for me would be taking a month off work. I found the .gpx online and have been studying it.

I worked most of the day trying to get my log splitter running. Finally got it after draining out the old gas and cleaning the spark plug. It ran fine for a while then started to bog down and die. I think the hydraulic valve wasn't reliving the back side pressure and fighting itself. Then the engine would only run if I kept the choke on like the carb was gunked up. Finally gave up after splitting a half rick of wood. Anyone out there work on these things? I can take it to Fagans here but they are pretty pricey and not to speedy on getting things done.
