I'm a realist and opportunist. They're running a bunch of water, and the wind was blowing hard and gusting over 20. I don't have a boat, and so I'm stuck fishing off the bank (I usually wade). I fly fish when I can, but these last 2 trips were only spin fishing do to conditions.

I'm not sure that the name Albie and the word "work" belong in the same sentence but congrats Albie! You'll quit in a week or so once you find out how boring the job is. But congrats.

My project this afternoon. New chain, sprockets and chain guides. Got the gearing at 14/52. Turned out to be a bigger job than I expected but it always does.

So a buddy and I are going exploring down you all's way today. Is there a good place to eat lunch in Oark or Pettigrew? I haven't been down this way much (from MO), trying to plan a tough route for two big bikes on dirt.

Nuttin in Pettigrew..Oark is where ya wanna go..and if Oark is too busy for (it is very popular among the pirate crowd, just continue on down the road abt 3 1/2 miles and feast at Catalpa, another popular eatery..now if a coldcut sandwich will do for ya, then there is Turnersbend on the pig trail (hwy 23)..

Stock is 14/50 and top end is around 99 mph. (maybe more but the electronic speedo only has 2 digits ) It worked pretty good but I had to slip the clutch in 1st on the tight, rocky uphill sections on the singletrack. I tried 13/50 and it was too low. Last Sun I ended up shifting between 1st and 2nd to much in the tight stuff. Even at 13/50 it would hit the 80's....

So 14/52 should be just right! :clap Just a little more grunt on low end- it pulls like a tractor. Top end will still be in the 90's, not that I would ever need to go that fast :nono

So that's your orange lesson for the day :super

Hell I love 13/50! Hell, I'm running 13/50 on mine. The 07's came with stupid ass gearing because of the EPA crap, 15/45 :eek1 Damn thing would do over 100, but it actually couldn't pull 6th to redline with that gearing. :lol3
