10% sales tax, wow! Dealer also told me I would have to pay AR sales tax on a new bike even though I am a non resident, what's going on up there?

I’d say that dealer is full of shit, since we don’t even pay the sales tax until we go have the bike assessed for property taxes.

The only one I can think of is a larva of one of the species of rat-tailed maggots, which lives in polluted streams, particularly full of feces and in the bilge of sessile yardyachts. The scientific name is Suckus daviii. The common name is the "Matt's asscockface".

Sorry it took a while to respond, I pulled "move the boat" duty from Punta Gorda up to St. Pete. Not a bad gig.

Yeah, that's crap. You pay it in the state where you register the bike.

Look at you busting out the $3 words. I had to look up "sessile." Who knew there was a term to describe Matt's junk?

Dammit, I need to learn how to do this!
It's like an itch I haven't scratched. :dirtdog

What size boat is best to learn on?
How big of a boat can one asshole handle by himself?
    :ear
I like the looks of the 27-40 footers with the diesel inboards, for accommodations. Figured I could get one with a buggered motor and do a restoration to be able to afford one. :hmmmmm

Seas up 12’ following. Like a hill, much steeper than it looks. The rail is 7’ over the water. This is a 40’ with a new Yanmar.

    Still 2 hours from Venice.

Learning to sail on a 30-40? Not me. I’m a small boat sailor, these are a lot to handle single handed in wind when it comes to getting sails up and down and docking.
Today winds are 20 with gusts to 30.

I doubt I will see 12' seas on Grand Lake. :1drink

But will skills learned on a 16' Hobie (for instance) translate to something usable for K&I, the Daughter, Son in Law, and two Grandkids? :ear

Only time I ever got motion sickness, I was in my recliner, playing my Daughters video games. (Tomb Raider IIRC) :rofl

Hunkered down at Holiday Inn Express in Defuiak, FL waiting for the rain to move through from the landfall west of us. Then head on to the beach tomorrow. Hope the surge leaves a few grains of sand to play on.
