oh man. when I posted on May 18th I was looking for something. My second recent post was to share what I had found for Arkansas. that's it... maybe I beat around the bush too much.. what I was looking to share was "So I found a map from IHunt at huntinggpsmaps.com." good grief... I posted a tangent question and then what I thought might be helpful information 2 months later. . so that's it.

I had no idea that IHunt maps even existed. Interesting.

This is a fun loop from Fayetteville, Arkansas near Drake Field to the Rudy Truck Stop for lunch and back. It's roughly 159 miles and takes in a variety of very scenic and twisty gravel and tarmac roads. For those about to go leaf peeping, this is a great fall tour for sure.

The map was compiled in Garmin CNNA 2013.3 If your mapset is different you should retrace the map to avoid errors. It is also a route not a track

    Enjoy.

Great minds think alike! I was gonna ask you to post this gpx up..I want to "tweek" it a bit and add some more dirt to it (avoiding hwy 71 at winslow to FYV etc) and will post the track..it was a fun ride and just about right for the day! :wings

Does anyone know if Lee Creek is passable on Creek Fork Rd this time of year? I am looking at in in Google Maps and can not tell what it is like. The coordinates are:
    35°40'55.8"N 94°21'26.0"W
. I have this crossing on the Med Bike West route as of now, but can change the route if it is not doable.

Thanks Doc. I made a .GPX file that bypasses the crossing for those who do not want to risk it.

Hers are some Med Bike Routes/Tracks for East and West directions from Byrds. I had previously uploaded very large files of the same thing. (N00b with .GPX files)

Sorry for the delay..I've been gone..I was gonna lead a ride or two but those plans got thrown out the window as one of the guys I was gonna show arounf lowsided so he is out. That got me off the hook for SLAP too so no plans to attend right now. Works good for me as I have a ton of farm shit to tend to. Sorry...

The 144 mile file goes east out of Byrds over to Mt. Judea then south and back west to Byrds. There is a variety of dirt and gravel county roads and forest service roads along with a most excellent section of one of the best stretches of blacktop in Arkansas and this entire region - Hw 123.

The 127 miles long file goes west out of Byrds almost over to Lake Ft. Smith then loops back north, then east and south back to Byrds. Near the lake you get up on some high ridges so the views are spectacular. Gasoline is available at Cass and St. Paul with an excellent BBQ place in St. Paul.

Both of these files have both tracks and routes and are Big Bike Friendly

well..not really...are those ROUTE or TRACKS? Maybe a little description of what kind of scenic rides (points of interests etc) they are..big bike friendly? etc Starting point at Byrds? or elsewhere? How long a ride (miles..we like to name our gpx files with a 3 digit number, 050filename.gpx where 50 miles is ride length etc)..

I follow this thread as I'm an Okie from way back, but FYI dualsportmaps.com has been rebooted and all the map searching editing and features are back. Feel free to post up your tracks there to make them easier to search for.

I will be in Branson area next week with two other riders. All of us on dual sports of 650cc and less. Looking to find some gravel and/or dirt to tour in that area. You guys have a ton that I've been skimming through (one at a time opening them in MapSource :shog). Are there any tracks/routes to recommend for the northern AR area and southern MO area near Branson?

I'm going to see if I can find a similar thread for MO.

We were gong to ride the Chadwick, MO area too.

I'd be happy to share my tracks from our exploring when I get back.

I found the TART and TMOT tracks tonight then added some of the ones I've found in this thread. Ran out of time this evening but I came up with this abomination. I'll keep digging when I can get the time to see what else is already posted. Appreciate you all posting tracks. Gives us something to look forward to! Note: that one magenta route (most northern) is a road tour (paved) but I left it on there just for reference. upload_2016-8-16_20-1-6.png

We rode Chadwick, MO for a few days and then the Glade Top Trail. Good time. Need to bring the street bikes back another time. Lot of good roads down there. You all are lucky.
