on an environmental note, dont waste a zombie (after you waste a zombie). recycle where possible....
few would be aware that the concept of the Lightsaber (from Starwars) is largely based on the Monofilament Sword which is long a SF & Fantasy staple weapon. Briefly, we have a strand only one-atom in thickness, stretched out taunt by some means and often with a safety button at the tip. Since its thickness is so extremely thin -- its capable of dicing steel with a simple swing from the handle. If one were to employ solely a laser (or plasma) beam - just HOW do you make it finite length and not have it go on out through walls, and atmosphere, with only some SquareRoot-of-distance attenuation?

one question. where do you get batteries for laser light saber when the shtf? Hmmm?
Any batteries will fit lightsabers with a little force
Seems to have a ring of truth. Were not the salutations along the line of "May the force be with you"?
Leading to . . . . "this one is STRONG in the force!"
"You notice? Its bright yellow Automotive Class Lithium Ion and its a ULTRA-A, eh?"
One just unscrews the black-ribbed cap, pulls out the expended cell, and replaces it with the new ULTRA-A.
While observing the relevant safety rules.
. . . . and even making the occasional resource to the definitive manual.
But, its a BAD, BAD, BAD, mistake to use the Red ones:
. . . and that's because these ones are Chinese-made batteries for Hand Blasters! That's right, the beam-firing weapons used by people without any Jedi Training. For hand blasters, these are a good reliable Ultra-Firing power battery.
What is that used for? :eek1 and I am pretty sure I want one. or 20.
Careful with that lightsaber, you're gonna poke someones eye out! Or chop their hand off even!
"Those are not the batteries that you're looking for. "
" These aren't the batteries we're looking for."
"He can go on searching."
"We can go on searching."
"Move along... move along."
gramma and spellen do not count during a zombie attack.
AND, the range was crowded today and I could not check out my new Ruger 10/22. All the benches were full at the 50yrd section. They had one bench at the 100yrd but I didnt want to start there! Anyone know if a .22lr will kill a zombie at 100yrds?
If you get a clean head shot, otherwise you better have a few of those 100 rd magazines and that rotary handle trigger actuator thingy. :huh
I think the heads of the afflicted get a little soft. and, I live in NY. It would have to be a few hundred of those 10 rd magazines...
Beh, just don't tell anyone on the internet you have em.
Bone won't soften, foreheads are hard, and 22 deflects easily. Stick with 5.56
what about these, ill have 2, one for each hand...
Another just because you can doesnt mean you should item. PERFECT for a Zombie thread.
if you had two zombies standing REAL close together, maybe. Otherwise it is just wasting ammo.
I don't think you understand...
one shot double tap
i was just going to make one with duck tape, but man, this is shinyer.
ill also carve cross's into the bullets to make em seperate like shotgun pellets
and one of them extra long extra ammo magazines, recon i could mod it to make it full auto? like the glock 22c
