Many thanks to all involved in putting on another great ride out of Turpentine Creek, as usual the routes were excellent.
Sorry I was not able to ride on Sunday, but circumstances dictated me leaving early Sunday morning.
Hope to see all of you again at the 2018 Arkansas 500.

Ditto on a great ride, Chasing Bob, Fred, Tim and the others thru the hills was a great time and the stop at Don's place for some single track, (hope I got the name right) was a blast. My knees were starting to fill up with fluid late Saturday PM so I had to unfortunately bail on Sunday. Tim was a good ride leader, and the food was great. Bob's Jambalaya was just right Thursday night as well, just a top notch event overall!

Had a great time on this years Bootlegger Ride. Met some new riders and caught up with some I hadn't seen in a while. I had a great group of guys that took pity on me and let me lead them thru some of the Ozark National Forest. Here are a few pics. Day 1 started on the old Hwy 412 bridge crossing War Eagle Creek.

Fred picked up a nail just past the Spoke Plant and we all watched Terry fix the flat. He did yoemans work on that too. Hope Fred picked up on the finer points of roadside tire repair.

Most of us just stood and watched and shagged tools and such.

That is all the stills I took but I did put together a little video of the ride. We stopped at Oark for lunch and fuel after the flat was fixed. Oark was to crowded so I just had some Cherry Pie Alamode and we hit the trail.

When we got back Victor had some vittles waiting for us. Good eatin and commiserating was had. Weather was awesome and if we could have gotten just a little rain earlier in the week it would have been perfect. It was quite dusty for most, I stayed out in front.

When we rode north out of Jasper on Hw 7 after lunch Saturday we went across the Buffalo River bridge at Pruitt Landing and took a left onto the rocky road primitive section.

That bridge is the last remaining example of a "Pennsylvania Through Truss" design bridge in Arkansas!

Unfortunately it is also scheduled for replacement due to its age. :(

Thank you Scotty for putting this gig on, really enjoy staying at the refuge with its great facilities. Victor's meals were top-notch, and thanks to Bob for Thursday night dinner. Can't leave out appreciation for the ride leaders and pre-riders too. Donny Stuart lead us on a brief tour around his ranch on Saturday, and here's a little vid of riders climbing up to a lookout over a valley on his property. Enjoyed meeting all of you!

Thank you for all who attended and thanks again for all the kind words. As noted above, these rides do take many people to organize.

A huge thanks to O'Leary, for serving as a ride leader and laying out all the tracks! Mike, thanks for leading as well. This was a fun ride with many memorable highlights. Arkansas Dual Sporting is unlimited. Come back soon.

Also, thanks Donnie for the tour of your awesome riding! Go to wildernessrider.com to plan a weekend soon.

Bob rest while his better half readies the pot! It was a long drive for Bob and I'm sure he needed a rest??

All the meat was prepared with a lot of stirring.

After all the secrets and love was added, dinner was served to about 38 hungry folks. [IMG]
Salad and fixin's to boot! Thanks to Bob and his wife, Leah (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) for a great dinner.
