I've planned a four-day trip, with Eureka Springs as the hub for me and two buddies. Here's what I'm thinking for food thus far, but I'd welcome more ideas:

Eureka Springs (looking for breakfast ideas)
The Rocking Pig, Grotto Wood Fired Grill & Wine Cave, Mud Street Cafe

I'm planning on lunch stops at Low Gap Cafe, Fox and Fork (Clarksville), and Catalpa Cafe (east of Oark). The fourth day we'll be up around Table Rock Lake/Branson, so any ideas there would be great!

Can't wait to ride the Ozarks!

Looks like a lot of great choices. I really need to take a ride over to Clarksville and try out the Fox and Fork. I hear a lot of good things. A co-worker keeps telling me I need to try Danna's over by Branson.

Albie, thanks for the tip on Danna's. We may swing by there when looping Table Rock. One of the guys coming with me is an Englishman who speaks French. So, I thought Fox and Fork with its French influence on Southern food would be fun for him. Plus, the menu on its Facebook page makes me hungry!

Any others? I'll be there next week, so any ideas are welcome.

I stopped in at the Fox and Fork in Clarksville yesterday. It's tucked away downtown but still EZ to find. I recommend you try it.

Kind of a trendy setting that millennials would gather and be comfortable at with live entertainment at certain hours. Kind of a upscale Low Gap Cafe' with a laid back, let your hair down atmosphere. On the last Sunday of each month they have Cruz'in gathering of sorts there for bikes, rods and classic whatevers.

Anyway the food...pretty good but the cuisine is on the fancier side for the palate. Wednesdays nights are 2 for $20 steak night and I really wanted to try thier Ribeye. But this night I was there to judge thier BLT against my all time favorite BLT from the Ozone Burger Barn. The F & F fell just short of bumping the Burger Barn off the throne but just barely. About half way through my meal this old feller comes shuffling in slowly and proceeds to sit down at the piano there and play some great dinner music. What is dinner music? I don't know but I liked it (note I'm retired so if you're under 50 you might not agree). If you appreciate good bread and extra attention to your meal prep then the F &F may be for you. Oh yeah, the serve beer from the Lost Forty (Little Rock brewery) among other drinks. I'll be back to visit the place again soon. Prices are not bad for the quality of food you are getting.

If you need breakfast around Eureka Springs Myrtie Mays Sunday Brunch is like... One of the most amazing meals you can probably have. Some times its best to get reservations but you can usually walk in also.

Ate at Alexa's Creperie yesterday. Food was delicious, service was great. Not typical US food. Not typical US waiter. Upper end of what I spend for a meal and serving sizes are healthier than my norm.
Sergei grew up in the USSR and was serving in their army in Afghanistan. When the USSR went under they just left him and all his comrades there. What a kick in the cods that must have been!
Alexa's is just W of Hot Springs on hwy 192/Marion Anderson Rd.

Just a heads up. Tom Camardese the owner of the Ozone Burger Barn passed away today. I would assume that the burger barn will be closed for the time being.

A new burger place has opened up in Clarksville at the bottom of hwy 21 at the 64 intersection. Oark Burgers is owned by the brother of the owners of The Oark Cafe. It is the best burger and fries in Clarksville. their fries are worth the trip alone.

We had breakfast here Sunday. Very good food and good people too. Excellent reviews and rightfully so. A fun place to go, lots of interesting conversation with Steve.
