    Added a 2006 CRF 250R to the mix. Truly a bad mamma-jamma.

Made a quick FREEZING ride out to Ross. Beautiful day, despite it being 36 degrees. My new TTR 250 is hands down the best bike yet. It's light, easy to handle, fast as hell, and you just can't beat the electric start.

I was in Hot Springs today and stopped by to see Xon (RR) and was met at the door by his sister-in-law who told me that Xon had a motorcycle wreck yesterday while riding off road and that he is now in the hospital. She said he hurt his liver and spleen and broke some ribs and that "his riding days are done". I believe her about the injuries but I doubt she'll be right about the riding until I hear it from Xon's own mouth. Anyway, he is in ICU at the local hospital in Hot Springs and I'm sure is heavily medicated. She told me to try texting or calling him in a week. I'll try to keep you guys informed although I don't know how much info I can get since I don't really know the family, just Xon himself. I'm sure any prayers would be appreciated. If you're in Hot Springs, Arkansas in the next few days and want to try and visit, I think Xon is in a hospital called St. Joseph's. His full name is Xon Post.

Thanks, Tim. It sure does sound similar to your injuries. Good to hear that you're about healed up.

Well, a big hello to my fellow adv'rs!! Duane is right, i broke 7 ribs, lost a kidney and damaged a liver. I have about 60 staples/ scar across my stomach. 18 days in the hospital, no fun!!

Where to start.....i wish i could tell you a really cool story as to how i wrecked, but it's a pretty stupid story. Considering i literally almost died. I was on the new crf-250 riding with a another buddy, when about 5 mins into the ride i went too far over on the right side of the trail, hit a rock, threw me down- with the throttle taking out my ribs, kidney, and liver. Airlifted out from the Ross Foundation and in surgury hours later.

I am much better and finally at home now. I am so sore, but so glad to be with my wife and kids. It is probably safe to say thay my riding days are over, at least for now. That does not meat i will be leaving ADV or anything like that, just won't be posting as many pics!! I can't begin to tell you how grateful we are for all the visits, cards, and posts. The outpour from you guys means so much. I know Duane and Jeff came to visit me in the hospital (some of them i remember, some i don't!) This forum and you guys are great and I am so appreciative of everything. Thank you very much for the flowers, too. I am not sure who all sent them, I think Dragon, OLeary, Jeff, and Duane?? If i am missing anything please let them know! I will still be posting on here, it just may be on 4 Wheeler! Thanks, guys! :wave

Keep you posted on everything. If you know anyone wanting to buy a few good bikes, let me know!

Whoa, Razorback! Sorry to hear of your crash. Get well soon. Let your family help take care of you.

Don't torpedo all the bikes too soon. Best wishes.

Glad to hear that you are home Xon and that you are feeling better! I can relate as I just went thru something similar except no liver damage, did lose a spleen tho with six broken ribs, collar bone and shoulder blade. I hope you heal as fast as I do. I have remembered you in my prayers so I am sure you will be back to normal soon.

I do know of someone that is looking for a bike and I will have him look at your thread and see if he is interested. He is someone that just moved into the area that hasn't ridden in a while. JTWest is his handle.

Wow, 16 days in the hospital is a long time. I was only in for 6 and I could not wait to get out of there. The longer I was there the more uncomfortable it was. It is good to be home I am sure. Take care and do your rehab faithfully if you have any. :norton

Hey Xon, that's great news! I think the guys who donated for flowers were me, Bret (dogjaw), dragon43, NateLePain, Joe nuclear...I'm sure I'm leaving someone out. Anyway, heal up soon.

Xon, I don't do paypal so didn't contribute to the flower fund. I'm glad you've gotten better. List the bikes here and see what happens.

Tell us about the ride on 'Air Force One'. I've always wanted a ride on that thing but the skeletons in my closet will forever keep me from experiencing it first hand.

Just touching base with everyone. I have recovered to 99.9%. Very minor aches and pains. After everything I still miss riding. Perhaps one day I will get back on. Sticking to 4 wheels for a while.

Well, I've been missing riding a whole lot, but do not miss being on life support either. I did ride a neighbor boy's little 100cc Honda the other day. I didn't almost die so that's a good thing! I hope to be back out one day. Gonna stick to 4 wheels for a while. I do have pics to post from my partner in crime Jason Bell. He's been doing enough riding for the both of us.

I'm from central Arkansas, but moved to Kansas City 12 years ago. Thank you for the wonderful pics in this report. There is very little around here that I'd call "scenic" and I miss the Natural State. I hope you are recover well, with no long term effects.

Best wishes to you and your family!

Okay, i miss riding dirt so much. But due to the vow i made my wife of never getting back two wheels, i am taking my jeep. Myself and a couple of other jeeper friends. It's been a long time a coming and I am ready to start posting some beautiful Arkansas pics, even if it is on 4 wheels.
