As many of you already know, we lost a great guy, great rider and great friend to many...Afry, Arnie Fry passed from a heart attack during flat track racing a few days ago. Condolences to Christie, all family and friends, fellow riders.

Arnie was a good friend of mine and an active, supporting member of San Diego Adventure Riders. I am trying to organize a GROUP PHOTO of ALL riders from ADVrider, SDAR and anyone else who shows up on their bikes at the Celebration of Life, so we can give it to Christie. I'll post up more details, but we'd like to get all the bikes and riders into a group somewhere at the fairgrounds at a certain time, and we'll have someone take a photo.

Please RSVP here if you will be riding there and want to be in the photo....thanks !

Also, Christie said there will be a band starting at 1pm. I believe we'll try to shoot the group photo about 1:30pm.

This thread is for information about his Celebration of Life.

    From Christie Carlson:

Time change.......September 30th Celebration of life for Arnie Fry will be at 12:00 instead of 2 due to another venue in place. 421 Aqua Lane, Ramona at the junior county fairgrounds. Please share to make sure everyone is aware. Thank all of you again for the strong out pour of love and prayers!

    Thanks,

Randy, I'm happy to shoot it (I have some experience in photography!) if someone can coordinate it. I have a message in to Sondra to see if she can help.

In my brief passage through San Diego, Arnie spotted me at an event, and rolled me into his group with a smile and a joke (usually inappropriate). I'll miss seeing him, what a pleasure of a guy he was. Very sad.

I'm planning on gettting to the celebration on the bike. A photo would be nice for his family.

I'll never forget at the NooB Rally, Oliver (in my avatar) refused to come back to our camp because he just HAD to have another Arnie Burger ! I have a photo somewhere. Hopefully I can find it.

I'm planning on riding to the event as well.....Since I spend enough time commuting on the I-15 during the week - I will be taking the back way into Ramona if anyone's is interested.
Also- If anyone needs a place to stay Saturday night- PM me - I have plenty of available space for tents, trucks, a hot-shower, and cold beer. I'm a few miles east of Doffo winery if you have been to any of the Moto-Doffo events.

Looking at the route, looks excellent.

Just a suggestion; a good place to meet might be the Shell station to the west of the 15, corner of Old Town https://goo.gl/maps/Nesbw6Fspxt

Gas up and head out from there?
    Say meet at about 9:02am?
