Hi Neighbor! - i've been enjoying your adventure and finally logged in.... I've got the truck and trailer (tho the tiedowns are for cars, not bikes) if that would help move your stuff....

    Great story, keep it up!

I visited Disneyland.............I mean Machu Pichu today.
    the location is a 10.
The ruins are maybe a 5 compared with the Aztecs and Mayans.
But there were too many people
    It was a zoo
You had to walk a certain way or you get yelled at.
And this day cost me over $200, including the train from the closest town, the bus and my ticket in to see the site.
And you had to pay extra if you wanted to go to the cool places. And then they limited the number of people and I couldnt go.
Plus a beer cost seven bucks
    Worse than Disneyland.
I checked Machu Pichu off my list.
Glad I went but I won't be hurrying back either.
    The good stuff is free

Cathe's best friend was getting married and I was Cathe's date for the wedding. If you know me, I don't stay in one place for very long but I stuck around in Lima so I could go to the wedding. And it was soooooo much fun. Those Peruvians know how to have fun.
The wedding started at 7 pm and the party went on until the wee hours of the morning.
As soon as the happy couple said "I do", the Champagne started to follow.
And that was followed by Pisco Sours, wine, beer, martinis, etc!

Here's a shot of the couple walking down the isle as husband and wife

This trip is turning out to be much more than a motorcycle adventure trip.
Here is my favorite shot of Cathe. She is so cute!

There is a tradition in Peru during a wedding. It is called Hora Loca or "Crazy Hour". It occurs when everyone is well sauced from the Pisco.
I didn't know anything about it. Up until Hora Loca, everything seemed to normal. And then out of nowhere, out comes Mario and a his buddy the dragon out on to the dance floor. And then things got crazy........crazy FUN!!!!!

The reception party was still going strong at 2 am.
Most of the people were still there and on the dance floor.

After one week in Lima, I left Cathe and headed south on my motorcycle. My first stop was Lunahuana. This area is known for their sweet wines and whitewater rafting. I didn't have time to go rafting but I did stop at 3 wines to taste some wines from Peru.
From out of the sand dunes, the valley turns green with vineyards.

Here is what a wine tasting room looks like in Peru.

Most of the wineries make Pisco too.
Here is the equipment to make Pisco
It is interesting because most of what is produced in the process is waste.
It's the kind of alcohal that will kill you

    Riding thru the vineyards.
It's like nothing I have even seen.
Grapevines on one side of the road and sand dunes on the other

And after your day of wine tasting, you can go whitewater rafting.
I wanted to go kayaking but I didn''t have the time.
I needed to get to Ica by 7 pm. I was meeting someone there.
    Priorities

I took this picture in the desert about an hour north of Ica Peru.
The sun is setting over the dunes and the ocean off in the distance.
I was packing too much stuff to give Cathe a ride to Ica so she was taking a bus there. I was meeting her there at 7 pm.
For the first time on my trip, I was starting to reconsider how much crap I was packing.
    :rofl
