    What a great day yesterday.
I hit 5 wineries in Rioja.
The wine was so good, I had trouble not swallowing it.
Normally I spit if I have to ride but at the last winery, it was wine drinking and not wine tasting any more.
The nice gal pouring the wine wasn't helping matters by pouring me more than a taste of each wine including the Grand Reserva from 1994.
She offered to let me use her spare room so I didn't have to drive.
That also meant I could take a well deserved shower.
We met some of her friends for a couple of drinks at a bar in town.
To my surprise, she picked up the tab before I even saw the bill.
And we went out later to dinner to a nice restaurant and I figured I would grab the bill for that but we almost got in a wrestling match over the bill and she had me pinned for a three count.
And just when I didn't think anyone could be nicer, she forced upon me a bottle of the 1994 grand reserva to take with me.
If I didnt have a gf already, I think I would have asked her to marry me
    Lol
It is people like this that make my trip so special and make the world a better place
    Muchas Gracias mi amiga nueva.

    You are probably right.
Tonight I am going to work on a 2001 Rioja Alta Gran Reserva
Parker gave it 96 points if you are in to that points game.
I would have scored it even higher.
I found a place to camp along side a cool creek so I will chill down the temp of the wine for some good drinking
    Yum

I wish i had, yes the beach was a welcome site after two days ride in torrential rain from santander, the only problem for me was the water being so shallow you can barley swim!

Im not sure which way your heading but we stopped in a place called Albarracin about 15 miles west of Teruel, it was picturesque and well worth a visit some good bars with an excellent square. Theres also quite a fancy restaurant with good wine on tap. I believe its quite a popular place with the spainish for walking and climbing.

Also there are some cracking roads heading in that direction from where you are now.

Anything about it you really like?

What a great adventure you are having.

My first post. Stumbled upon this site (and your RR) a couple weeks ago while researching an upcoming adventure bike purchase. Wow. You’re living the dream. And I’m enjoying the ride! Enjoy. Look forward to your ride through the Alps.

    Thanks for the kind words
Yes, I am living the dream of most people that live and breath O2.
But when it comes time for looking for a job, I am going to have to explain why I have not dedicated my life to maximizing the profits of some company to enrichen some people that have too much money already and no life to speak of.
But I still have some time ahead of me before I have to deal with that BS

You have a choice in life on whether to accumulate experiences or just stuff. I'd go with the experience every time.....

Nothing wrong with accumulating “stuff” and experiences. The trick is to balance them both in order to live life. From what I’m seeing here, any reentry back into the corporate world, if so desired, will be seamless.
