Looks like I need to make a detour to Missouri.
Thanks for all the entertainment and Bikini pictures
I think you are better off on the bike
Keep the RR coming
What a great day yesterday.
I hit 5 wineries in Rioja.
The wine was so good, I had trouble not swallowing it.
Normally I spit if I have to ride but at the last winery, it was wine drinking and not wine tasting any more.
The nice gal pouring the wine wasn't helping matters by pouring me more than a taste of each wine including the Grand Reserva from 1994.
She offered to let me use her spare room so I didn't have to drive.
That also meant I could take a well deserved shower.
We met some of her friends for a couple of drinks at a bar in town.
To my surprise, she picked up the tab before I even saw the bill.
And we went out later to dinner to a nice restaurant and I figured I would grab the bill for that but we almost got in a wrestling match over the bill and she had me pinned for a three count.
And just when I didn't think anyone could be nicer, she forced upon me a bottle of the 1994 grand reserva to take with me.
If I didnt have a gf already, I think I would have asked her to marry me
It is people like this that make my trip so special and make the world a better place
Muchas Gracias mi amiga nueva.
I have been following this RR from the beginning. You got me thinking, hey Maybe people wanna here about my riding too. So I just posted my first Day Trippin RR. Your right I winged it and great things happened, Things that I never could have planned. Thanks for the inspiration.
Agreed I get up in the morning and go,zero plans, little direction=spontaneous fun, work requires me to plan 6 months in advance, why do that in your free time.
It certainly, says it all ... you don't see many smiling faces on the 5FY at 07:00AM ...
Lalo! Tarragona i was there on my moto only two weeks ago, i had my fingers crossed that i would bump into you, alas it was not ment to be. Although i will be back on the continent in september but i presume you will be too far south by then.

All my fancy gran reserva wines that I bought are getting ruined in this heat.
Better drink up.
Who wants to help me?
by the time I get there it probably gone....
You are probably right.
Tonight I am going to work on a 2001 Rioja Alta Gran Reserva
Parker gave it 96 points if you are in to that points game.
I would have scored it even higher.
I found a place to camp along side a cool creek so I will chill down the temp of the wine for some good drinking
I wish i had, yes the beach was a welcome site after two days ride in torrential rain from santander, the only problem for me was the water being so shallow you can barley swim!
Im not sure which way your heading but we stopped in a place called Albarracin about 15 miles west of Teruel, it was picturesque and well worth a visit some good bars with an excellent square. Theres also quite a fancy restaurant with good wine on tap. I believe its quite a popular place with the spainish for walking and climbing.
Also there are some cracking roads heading in that direction from where you are now.
I survived another night camping in the bush
Or should I say.....thrived
Heading to Oporto for some port in the Duero valley
What brand of hammock are you using? Anything you don't like?
Anything about it you really like?
What a great adventure you are having.
Thanks for the great pictures and updating it.
My first post. Stumbled upon this site (and your RR) a couple weeks ago while researching an upcoming adventure bike purchase. Wow. Youre living the dream. And Im enjoying the ride! Enjoy. Look forward to your ride through the Alps.
It is an Ergo
It is expensive but high quality
The only thing I dont like about it is I wish it was longer
I am 6 foot 1
But I look forward to every night I can sleep in it
Thanks for the kind words
Yes, I am living the dream of most people that live and breath O2.
But when it comes time for looking for a job, I am going to have to explain why I have not dedicated my life to maximizing the profits of some company to enrichen some people that have too much money already and no life to speak of.
But I still have some time ahead of me before I have to deal with that BS
You have a choice in life on whether to accumulate experiences or just stuff. I'd go with the experience every time.....
Nothing wrong with accumulating stuff and experiences. The trick is to balance them both in order to live life. From what Im seeing here, any reentry back into the corporate world, if so desired, will be seamless.
Kathe and loaded up the moto with camping gear and bikinis and headed south to Tarragonga to hang out on the beach for a couple of days.
