It is kind of a round the world trip within a around the world trip.
I left Bangkok last week, flew to Madrid via Dubai.
Now i am in Lima Peru and heading to Los Angeles this Wednesday.
Kathe and will be there together until Friday night where she will fly back to Lima and i will stay in LA through the weekend. Next week i will fly back to Bangkok thru Hong Kong. I am hoping that i can spend a couple of days in HK and Macau before i head back to Thailand. Who knows, maybe i can rent a scooter and tour around.
That will complete my Two week Around the World tour
And then i will get back on the bike and see the world.......just at a slower pace

I am not even sure what i am doing tomorrow, let alone two or three months from now.
Looking at the map, i think i will head down one side along the coast and then head back along the other.

I am think that i am not going to have time for Indonesia this year so i will turn around when i get to Singapore. Th5 puts me in to Malaysia around the end of March or beginning of April if all goes as planned.

I hope to see you then:freaky

I get you don't get too many opportunities to stay at the LAX Marriott these days, but I am kinda surprised that you aren't going back go South America to see/be around the Dakar? Por què no?

I am in Peru right now
But the Dakar doesn't come this far north this year.
I would love to see it but at this point, i just want to get back on my own moto and continue my ride.
Because doing is so much better than watching

Happy belated birthday Lalo! Still loving the RR but I do have one question. I'm guessing you didn't anticipate the cost of criss-crossing the globe every other month when planning your trip. Is that an added expense or does Kathe hook you up with buddy passes or something???
Enjoy your days stateside but please hurry back to get on with the travel publishing! :clap:freaky

Kathe has me hooked up. While the flights are certainly not free, they are heavily discounted to make my jet travel possible.
But there is also the risk of flying standby. There are certainly no guarantees there will be a seat for you on the plane.
Like flying to Los Angeles this week.
    The plane was completely full.
But Kathe spoke with the captain and he gave me the jump seat.
And i can tell you, sitting in the jumpseat in the back of the plane for nine hours is not fun. But Kathe brings me food and wine from first class that makes the time pass quicker.
Champange, filet mignon, port wine and ice cream......yum

    Lalo,

Thought about you while cracking a Grand Reserve in Joshua Tree NP on New Years. Thanks for still taking us all along, it's been great to hear your perspective throughout the journey since I started following the report back in May.

Cheers guy and keep traveling safe! (but not too safe)
    -Hunter

-Oh and hope this goes without saying but if you ever find yourself up this way and don't mind some cramped mountain apartment space you have a place to crash anytime.

Shoot... I thought that first sentence was going to lead to this. :lol3

But your "hooked up" deal is still a great one. Looking forward to the rest of your travels. Stay safe!!
