Up over the ear then down out of the helmet. I wear my er6i's over the ear the same way.

I never need to adjust them :dunno

Originaly bought the old E2C bu Shure and then moved to the SE315 which first broke my billfold and then my heart when I lost my hiking jacket with them in the pocket on the Appalachian Trail. I went back to me E2C but now the wires are showing near the hear pieces and the 2/1 union.

I think I'm going to order the 215 for $99. I love Shure headphones. I keep fresh yellow foam ear inserts in at all times. It took a little while to get used to the sound isolation since my Shoei is already so quiet. Not I'm fine but you damn sure can't hear a thing other thing outside your helmet.

    So what's the latest?

My er6i's bit the dust last year and I've been trying to find a good replacement. Shure 215? Have a pair, sound great, hurt like hell after about 2 hours. Etymotic HF5? Have a pair, sound ok, stick out too far and are a no-go under a helmet.

    What else is out there?

    Very informative thread
Has anyone tried the Koss KDX100 ear buds? They look small enough for helmet use. I have a pair of Bose ear buds that have a nice sound but do not fit under my Arai

I used to use the Koss Spark Plug and the version before the Koss Spark Plug (looks similar but had memory foam instead of flange ear buds). Horrible noise isolation (see the holes in the outer shell, noise comes in there). The spark plug version would not stay in my ears when removing the helmet. Instead they would roll up my head as I pulled the helmet off. Ouch!

To remove my helmet without having the plugs roll up my head I had to pull on the cord and wiggle them out from my ears and helmet first. Pretty annoying and they sound like crap compared to the etymotic and shure options.

I would choose the MEElectonic M6 over the koss, though the MEE's really don't have any isolation when the on the bike, they stay in place and sound good.

Time to replace my E2's. Looks like 215's are the way to go? Oh, and can I replace the cables on those E2's? Is that cost-effective?

Any promo codes coming up in the near future? My shure earphones seem to have grown feet and taken a trip to an unknown location! :(:
