When I get around to finishing the plaster cast to vacuum-mould one I like out of a sheet of slightly grey-tinted Lexan I've got floating around the workshop.
I'll make an oversized negative and try different variations....flat/ slight bubble, strong bubble, curved upper lip... longer, shorter, whatever

    Nice job!

Lime green?? I used my bathroom scale to also weight my SV, I think it's the cheapest way to weigh your bike. Has to be within + or - 10 lbs.

Definately an A for effort. When are you going to ride the damn thing? Need ride reports also...

Must admit, I was a little surprised as well...the reason I weighed both ends 3 times, getting onto the scales myself :huh :huh in between to make sure they worked ok :lol3 :lol3

Well, I've been watching this thread and I don't get where you saved all that weight. I'm not saying I doubt your #'s, just that it's surprising and impressive!

    Thanks :clap
Does anyone know the weight of petrol per litre?

With 20l in the tank at weigh-in...should give a dry-weight of something below-160kg mark, methinks.

Hm...off the top of my head there were 4.XX kg in the exhaust...over 3kg in the subframe lugs and braces, ~2kg pillion peg assemblies, 0.5kg in the indicators alone, 2.5kg in the fairing frame, over 2kg in the OEM-rack with rubber... no nose-cone/ screen/adjustable bracketry to speak of...sidepanels halved...no rear guard-taillight unit...frontguard weight halved or less...shortened rear undertray...shortened seat/ seatpan....1/2 headlight or less....shortened wiring both ends...and and and...it all adds up, I guess.

Btw....thanks for the comments and an even bigger thanks to those, who've kept checking the thread over all those months....it's been a pleasure having you "aboard". :freaky :freaky :clap

Shows how much attention I've been paying! :)

Q: How do you lighten a bike by 100 pounds?
    A: 1 ounce at a time!

It's not easy beingGREEN! Damn, I like that color; it looks a lot like the 2nd gen KLR650's here in the US. And not too far off the Benelli color you originally talked about.

Awesome work - I've been watching on and off since the start. In between the start and now, I've bought my 2nd Wee - a flat-black '08. Not planning on modding it like this, but I have to say you have great imagination and mad skilz in turning ideas into reality. Two thumbs WAY up.

At least you're true to your name :lol3 :lol3
The paint is basically a Kawa Versys candy-lime-green-metallic.
We dropped the candy-stain stage, just went with the base-colour but added more xirallic, which gives it that dark-bright transition/ chameleon effect.

It comes out too-flat in those pics, in real-life, it's a stumper.
It offsets all the black around the bottom parts with a bright splash of colour up top.

Along the way I found myself out of my depth often enough but it all came good in the end.

    Thanks for the words :1drink
