We meet at Zuffy's on Buford Highway, the first Wednesday of the month, at 7:30 PM.

Some of us have years of ADV experience, some of us are just getting into it. No matter-come out and let's get some rides organized! Second Saturday is the loosely scheduled monthly ride. We normally meet at the Kangaroo off of the Dawsonville square between 9-10 am, and go from there.

All are welcome-no squids please.

Hey guys, I stumbled on to this thread. Glad to see more guys wanting to ride. I've got the kids this weekend so the KTM690e will have to stay in the garage this weekend:cry.

I've been dying to go ride but seems everytime I get to Dahlonega this winter I see snow flurries. Good news is I'm moving up to North Cumming so I'll be closer to the trails!
See ya'll next time!

Normally it is Saturday, but Luke is leading the ride this weekend on Sunday. Come out, the weather looks spectacular!

I just made a deal with a fellow ADVrider to purchase and pick up a 2009 te310 this Saturday in Greesboro. :D The issue is I will not be able to pick it up until approx. 9pm. Then its a 5 hour ride home. Also Saturday is daylight savings which means we loose an hour of sleep!! 10am is gonna be tough for me!!! Can anyone else step up to lead the Sunday ride. I will still be joining in but more like noonish. The plan is to trailer my other bike with us, grab the Husky and drive 3 hours back. Hotel on 85 south for the night then get up and drive straight to Dahlonega. We will try to be there as close to 10 as possible but I have to be realistic as to not disappoint anyone. Thanks for your understanding. We will try and connect with everyone when we get in the area.

Hey guys, had to work Wednesday night so I was sad I couldn't make my second meet up. I'll see you Sunday on the hill though!

If anyone's going tomorrow (Saturday 03.09.13) I'll be out riding some FS roads, not leaving Buford til around 1030 or so, if anyone wants to go let me know

Didn't realize there was a "local" group meetup. I put the next one on my calendar. Hopefully will stop by and say hello.

Btw is this the owners from the old fuzzys that used to be around the corner? Assuming its gotta be. :)

Hello Atlanta Friends,

David Giguere (Georgia Overland) and Daniel Palazzolo
(Decatur Garage) are pleased to offer a free screening of Maciek
Swinarski's film "MotoSyberia".
...
Just a heads-up...this is not a kid-friendly film.:evil

I was introduced to this film by Austin Vince (http://www.austinvince.com/)
at his Adventure Travel Film Festival (http://www.adventuretravelfilmfestival.com/)
last year.

Here's a description of MotoSyberia from the ATFF site:

"An incredibly imaginative film of one of the toughest motorcycle trips
ever undertaken, a masterpiece!

Maciek Swinarski is one of the top adventure film-makers in the world
today. His latest film is the story of a seriously hardcore motorcycle
ride from his native Poland to Magadan in eastern Siberia, and has
made him a household name in his homeland. Imbued with a sense
of humour so often absent from travel documentaries, Swinarski fully
engages with the local people as he and his three travelling
companions cross the imposing Russian landmass on their KTM640s.
He shares this amazing experience not only with the viewer, but also
with the people he meets along the way. Motosyberia is the antidote
to the contrived ‘reality’ TV which dominates our screens today
– genuine back to basics stuff, real life action, with all the hardship
and adventure that entails."

Bring a chair and a beverage and join us for this very different sort of
adventure travel film at the best underground film screening
location...Decatur Garage.

A little about the Georgia Overland and Decatur Garage screenings:

Your interest has pushed Daniel and I to find unique and worthy adventure
travel films. We always contact the filmmakers for permission, we never
charge a fee of any sort nor do we receive any compensation in return.
The free screenings are our way of supporting a small but important community
of filmmakers by introducing our friends and family to new films...and it's a great
excuse to hang out with our buddies and make new friends!
