rode Saturday with some some friends at Highland Park. Most of the guys were on tiddlers (200 two strokes to 450 four strokes). I rode the 950 and had a ball. Lots of leaves, but we did mostly 3 and 4 diamond trails. I had to cut out around 1pm, but had fun trying to keep up with the little bikes on the trails. didn't have a single drop, and did shoot some video. i"ll see if I can put some together this week. Great trail conditions besides a bit of dust on the perimeter trails.

Did you ride with Edwin (WERA guy. I know him from my roadracing days in the late 80s) on a KTM 200 on Sat? He rode the first half of Sun with us, as well as hung out that evening.

That’s him in the pics above, sending it down the mtn on trail 14 6d.

I'm just gonna say this once and leave it. Not looking for a debate. Hope it helps someone. Believe it.

Maps.me has the absolute best maps. Period. Bar none. It happens to be a FREE app but don't let that fool you. It has waaaaaay better maps than any Garmin or whatever brand gps you can buy. My pal has a $600 Garmin on his bike. It's an absolute piece of shit when it comes to.... you know...trying to find your way when you're lost. Anytime we've been lost I open my phone and find the nearest trail. Not road, but trail. Or an old and closed logging road. I don't trespass, I just note there is a closed road there and I go the other direction. I also don't ride on trails not designated for motorbikes, but it's good to see them too. It shows you everything. Yes, current legal roads too. No, you don't need a cell signal or even to have GPS on your phone turned on.

Crazy how so few people know about or use these free maps yet it's way better than anything else I've seen. Ever. For us that like to explore. To be clear, it's not the most user friendly app. It's the best maps. That's all I'm saying.

2 second slow mo vid on a small steep climb here near me. My Maine bud playing a couple weeks ago. Great threshold rear braking.

I like US Topo Maps Pro app. Dont be fooled, it is much more than topo. Yeah, it costs like $12.

But it will record your route, supports online and offline map access.

    My favorite use is in trail layout. By downloading the map tiles first {or access via web if there is cell signal}, I can display the trail progress live. I use a satellite photo underlay which allows me to see how well the section is being used, where potential problems are to avoid {trail too close by, swamps, etc}

Mapped last year's Sandlapper Dual Sport, just for fun...

I'll take a look at it, but I'm perfectly happy with my Garmin.

I've got some free trail and topographical maps loaded on my Garmin and it's just fine. I have ill take a look at it just to see what it is like. Not bad to have a backup incase I lose or break the Garmin.

not sure. I was there with a few friends from the motorcycle industry, and they had some friends with them so I didn't know all of the guys in the group. I don't recall any of the guys I didn't know on a 200 though, maybe he was riding with some other guys. We saw two or three other groups while we were out there..

Speedy R did some fine riding last Saturday chasing the little bikes on the 3 and 4 diamond trails at HP on his big "elephant sized" 950 SE. We did not have to wait very long on even the toughest trails..great job of riding that beast. We figure that he was getting twice the exercise we were on those trails!

Well I canceled one job for the weather so that left me available to go Sno Ride.
But that also leaves my schedule open that I could pick up an emergency service to a leaking water heater. . The 1st water heater failed and flooded so I bypassed it leaving the house functioning on the 2nd heater and Pulled all the carpet, out set the blowers, etc.....,

People think it's easy to save the day.
    (The sacrifice is real)

Now Where's all the dang pics of your bike in tha snow
    ?

I'd love to be a passenger in a rally car race. I would lose my shit but it would be fun as hell.
