maybe, maybe not. if it is just marked as deleted, but has not been overwritten, it can usually be recovered. however, if the card memory space where the video was stored is overwritten by new video, then no.

so, it is unlikely that someone could go back and recover, say, video from last week if you have been recording and deleting your commute every day as the memory space where it was stored has most likely been overwritten.

if you intentionally always fill the entire card (leave the video running after getting home until the card is full) before deleting, then you pretty much guarantee stuff is overwritten.

Not if you're on a motard. Its the other way around. The long straghts are where they might catch you. Tight corners, not a chance. Unless it's a skilled driver in a fast car. In which case pissing them off is unlikely (passing them on DY, etc.)

Oh for certain, that piece of road-vermin will get some representation to keep his happy-ass out of prison on some pre-conceived notion he wasn't mentally involved in his actions in the car.

When he should go straight to a long stay in a small shared cell where his ass can "dance" wit bubba every night to get his brain straight.

"Almost immediately?" No. Within a few miles? Maybe if it's a hot day. If somebody is trying to kill you, the radiator isn't going to do it.

Gonna be hard to get his brain right. Bi-polar wing nut. His own attorneys tried to get him put in the Rubber Room Motel on a previous criminal case.

You can drive quite long without coolant, I rode 30kms without coolant, because my radiator hose burst and the thermometer wasnt working, then suddenly it was redling, drove to a nearby gas station, filled it with water and all worked fine. Plus you'd have to be infront of the car not beside it to hit the radiator in the first place.

So what does attempted murder bring over on that side of the atlantic? With a previous criminal past?

And I hate it how ADHD, ADD, Bi-polar is used to justify criminal behavior. I was diagnosed with bi-polar by some psychologist, hasnt really affected me much, sometimes I get creative, sometimes I feel down. Its not like I'm out there trying to kill people, just beacuse I had a bad day... jeez.

That's how his defense attorney(s) will spin it, anyway. I've been diagnosed with ADD and clinical depression but I manage not to try to murder anyone either - I'd never even consider it an excuse for violence. This "man" is a criminal, plain and simple. No regard for any other person but himself, and now I'm sure he's spending his time worrying about how to get out of "trouble" rather than feeling any ounce of regret for the suffering he caused the two riders - and for what? He couldn't drive as fast as he wanted? What a waste of space. People like this ought to be locked up for the rest of their lives, or at least until they're too old and feeble to hurt anyone else anymore.

    From the article...
So the guys defense is that he was "exchanging words" with the riders on the bike but actually didn't know they were there because they 'may have been in his blind spot'?

That attorney should be embarrassed to stand in front of a Judge and spew that crap. A 10 year old could dream up a better excuse.

The driver is a menace and has been for a long time... http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/Road-Rage-Incident-Coronado-Bay-Bridge-Phillip-Michael-Eggers-208207141.html.

Quick Google search of Phillip Michael Eggers will show that he as been arrested in Texas on weapons and possession charges on top of the other prior felony charges in CA.

Hope he goes straight to jail.

Hope the riders are OK. Anybody hear anything about them. It would be nice to hear their side of the story.

Sounds like they got a lawsuit on their hands. They could make sure this guy would never be able to afford a car again, regardless of what the courts do.

They're already wearing it out. Earlier his c*nt used: "Honestly, I have pneumonia. I have no idea what's going on." and "I didn't see anything. I was on my phone." to a TV reporter. Doh.

If I would catch the guy who runs me of the road when I'm on a bike, I'll be the one who will most likely go to jail, after I finish with him.
It is then up to the jurge to determine the right punishement for me.

When I have done my time I would like to get a second chance in life.
I can not disagree more, with the public naming and shaming that apparently is concidered perfectly normal in the US.

This guy will never get a normal job and whatever honest live be builds-up after he has served his time, will always be ruined when people around him at some point unavoidably get confronted with his past. (internet will only get worst that way in the future)
I think the guy is a real dick that should be punished very hard, but when that is over, it should be over.
Otherwise you are intentionally creating an unavoidable downward spiral in a persons life, that can result in nothing but trouble for anyone around him.
(like that little boy in the back seat)

    Dude -

The guy is a 24-year-old with a criminal history, and yet still drives around in dad's hot-rod Corvette and a BMW M3. He is living off dad's money, and doesn't really need a normal job.

Hell, he doesn't even need an "honest life" - he's a trust-fund baby (which is how he gets a privately retained attorny and not a court-appointed lawyer).
