You want me to bring my 650 into the fifth circle of hell to ride in an empty lot? Sorry, but no thanks.

    Gonna be snowing down here.

Enjoy your ride around the field! :D

Ive never ridden in any place named the field. Beats me. You seem to know more about it than I.

Why would I get defensive about "the field"?

I think he is talking in general about the smallness of the riding areas here compare to where he lives.

You know, Ive ridden in alot of places. Including wva and southern md. And I still prefer the riding here rather the mountains.

I can do about 30-40 miles at the laurel pits, and more at Bowie. Its not like you can do more in a day riding this type of terrain. In wva and va there is alot more riding I assume, but so far all the riding Ive seen there is the type that big bikes can do, like gs's. And if a gs can make it through it, then it really is not the type of terrain I like riding.

With that, Jabba you can ride the pits on the gs. But not the fun stuff. And it would be a challenge riding it in the easy stuff at the pits when its frozen.

Maybe its because I am a newbie, but riding areas that are generally flat work for me just fine.

To each his own... I can see how it could all be fun. I'm not riding a 600 LB bike on ice~ just a certain proclivity for self preservation- and an ankle that's been tweaked so damned many times that I may have learned my lesson~ DRZ to come- barring the appearance of a KTM, of course. :thumb
