If its running good and youre happy with the way its going, leave it alone
RPM M/C Services 9758 3331 Upper Ferntree Gully.
LC8 Adv 45000km service report all good!
Except on final assembly and road test, the oil light is flickering... WTF.
They perform all the checks and it's just a bodgie sending unit.
So got to pull it all apart again as the sender is down low between the V.
End result, $15 part replaced, plus another 3+ hrs labour to pull it all apart and put together again..
PS KTM City quoted $12-1400.00
RPM bill ran to just under $800 all up. No bullshit Good guys.
Runs like a peach!! Support your local independent techies... They have bills to pay too.
What did you get for your $800???
valves, shims changed, thermostat, coolant, oil change, drive chain, sprockets, carbs balanced (or TB's), WP shaft?
I know the oil pressure sender was changed out
All (all) fluids changed.. Oil / brake / clutch / coolant etc..
Valves checked and shimmed (minor on the exhaust)
All Oil filters...
Carbs balanced / checked
TBs ticked off
50psi oil pressure at 5k revs as per spec... Not bad for a flogger!
Stripped down again after reassembly to replace a 15 buck part... Bugger.
And I didn't have to get dirty hands... I appreciate honest, professional work and am prepared to pay for the like.
Heck, as a self employed designer, I earn 20c per hour!?
Haven't you got some more sanding, filling to do for a semi- special order?
Balance across to you this week.
hey gents, I've got a 950 Adventure S that's got some paint peeling in a few spots, does anyone know of a supplier of a full sticker kit for the whole bike? Alternatively, please tell of your experiences with repainting the bike? and who you'd recommend? Costings would be helpful too
I got a complete kit for my SE from these guys: http://www.raiddesigns.com/en/produ...rathon-kit-splash-whiteorange.html?grp=864236
They would probably be able to do one for the ADV. They also did up a few different colour schemes for me.
Make you own design
Think youll be very happy with what you get......
Anyone worked out a good priced single (oversized) front disc set up yet?
Why do u want a single disc? Loose inspiring weight?
The difference it makes is remarkable.
Needs the SE master cylinder
I just reckon an oversized disc and a caliper adaptor would be even better...

am getting very excited! No rush though. You should see eft tomorrow :)
ps. Where's the report and pics from the ride?...
